Astral Runes Price

So.. I've been getting 99 magic, and had been able to buy Astral runes very cheap up until around last week...I had originally been getting them for like 105 each..but now I have to make my offer over 200 GP each in GE to buy them..why have they doubled in price? What is the cause of this rise in demand? Does anyone know? I've scoured the forums a bit but find nothing..really confused as to how they suddenly rose too. A pain in the butt because I had cruised to 94 losing like only 10-15m..I don't want 94-99 to cost me 30m

On forums I see people selling at like 100-175 ea..wtf? Is GE glitched or something?

Edit: Ok I believe that 100 ea thread was for 07 scape. I'm talking EoC. I saw a thread selling for 175 each. So what new update, if any, made this go up?

Also, when I sell back, it sells back way cheaper. I bought 100 at 199 each, and sold it back for just 150 each. I'm so confused.

The fact that they sell much cheaper than what you buy for, and the number of runes that you appear to be using seems to suggest to me that what has happened is that you have reached your GE limit of 25000 runes per four hours, and thus raised the price trying to buy more without any change, and then when your limit is removed they buy for the price that you entered even if the seller placed an offer in for less. If that is not the case then another possible explanation could be that due to the Charming Imp being released, and blood runes increasing from 170 to 270 gp each, runecrafters have switched to making those instead.

Thanks for the response buddy, I think your second theory is probably the correct one. I do realize there is that cap in there, however didn't know the further explanation so I appreciate that clarification. It's odd, I see astral runes are rising in GE, but not at the rate they are actually going for now..which is close to 200 each, a 100 percent increase just about!!! Which is insane, I was wondering if something was going on that would make astrals go up. I've decided to just use my 99 rc to double astrals..seems to be the much more logical option. As I don't think it's wise to pay that much for the remaining levels, because I'm trying to still get expensive money sinking 99's like construction and smithing. But alas, I think your 2nd theory could be spot on. Thanks for the help!
