    Saw this on the news in Albania, amazing, it's not fake by the way - The Turks are treated like shit in Bulgaria and this guy was speaking out against it, from what I've heard. The (attempted) assassin was a Bulgarian.

    Honestly, this seems likely.

    If you watch it frame by frame, they barely make contact yet the assailant pulls his gun away as if he is scared merely by the thought of getting touched. Getting severely beaten afterwards even when he was immobilized would play well in his favor also...

    All I can say is, is that he needs to be locked away. Intend is nearly as bad as doing it. About the place, assassinations are rather common in Bulgaria, I've heard of a few and my dad (works out there) has been on the same road as one that happened a few years back.
