Ark Surivival Evolved

So in my personal opinion there is a lot more to this game than I think.

I have been playing it on/off for the last couple of days (bought it 2 nights ago) on the PS4, and it's extremely hard for me at least lol. I have died at least 40-50 times, and restarted my character so so many times. The game has some really nice looking area spots on it, and cool looking monsters/dinos.


I am personally experiencing that I keep choosing the wrong places to start or so on, as there are a few different places to go with it, I enjoy the element of having to survive as best as you can and build your own supplies / gather resources, but it is very time consuming and the food aspect of things unlike say the perks in 7 days to die which slower your food needing rates are not there.

Anyone else got experience with the game?

 

Yes! It's a fantastic game. I made a thread here previously encouraging people to play it and maybe join me to play it. It's one of the best games I've played.

You should play vanilla like you are for as long as you're having a great time.

The real fun is playing the "Unofficial" servers which have mods and different multipliers on your experience, levels, harvest rate, dino count, and other things. You can make tribes and build amazing bases and fortifications and tame sweet dinos and get up to "Tek Tier" armor which allows you to fly and have superspeed and more.

I think @N4nO played and had a server too.

Yeah I played for several months, and had a fairly popular server (prime time player count in the 20's)

The game was a blast, but started to get stale after awhile in my personal opinion. This is likely due to my own doing however for a couple reasons. One being that my server was a pve server (with pvp enabled for the purpose of allowing fights between consenting parties/tribes) and secondly because I had multipliers set fairly high - which allowed us to reach max level, max level tames, large base, etc in a fairly short amount of time.

That being said though, the game does have a lot to offer, and although I got burnt out on it, I would still recommend it as a game worth playing.

 

yeah I have a friend who pretty much lives on his PS4 (he is extremely like depressed etc) so he just plays games all day every day literally. Words of encouragement from him - "Oi Ant cunt, when you buying Ark then you cunt?" at this time I was heavily booked into 7 days to die and Skyrim (still am quite a bit, although calmed down a bit on 7DTD and gone back to ESO) I bought it like a week ago and I keep restarting my single player, as I joint a facebook group for ps4 members and it seems people talk about server wipes and offline raids etc which spoils the game mode(s) for others >.<
