In two days, Runescape is either going to do one of the best updates of all time, or will dig their own grave by denying the update (doubtful).

I can't wait to hear the news. This is the most excited I've ever been about Runescape.

 

Did they say the 14th?

 

There probably going to post news about the release date if it comes or not (I don't know why it wouldn't with all the votes).

 

They said that the poll officially ends on the 14th, so it can be assumed that they will at least announce something.

since when do they release 2 updates in a week
there's no doubt they will bring back wilderness and free trade. the decision has already been made. all this voting is just to increase traffic on rs and shit. they won't release it anytime soon

 

I don't care if they release it soon, I just want them to announce it, and tell us what's going to happen.

 

I think I read somewhere it will be implemented a week or so after the poll closes. Hopefully sooner >

 

Anything that you've read has been fake. A lot of fake leaks going around lately. As far as I know, Jagex has not publicly commented about it at all (not even in the private section of forums).

 

the poll ends on the 14th, so I assume that if they don't update on that day they will at least announce the decision and the update date. I am very doubtful as well as to them denying it but its possible, hope they choose correctly though, Im already almost finished building my staker!

EDIT: also, they did say in the clan chat that the code inputting and changes that needed to be made IF the vote passed would only take a few days to implement because they would have "the entire Jagex team on it", so I assume that if they are bringing it back, a few days after the 14th would be when the update hit, and maybe at the latest tuesday because they update on tuesday alot.

 

Just a tip everyone: As soon as free trade is released, be careful about hiring questers and skillers to do stuff on your wealthy accounts. I have a feeling that the first few weeks of free trade will be full of scammers.

 

Yea, I was wondering about this as well, I am very great-full that I found Sythe earlier and established myself here as well as built up trust and vouches, ect....
TBH, I feel bad about newcomers once FT hits, if people already didn't trust low post counts and low vouched members of sythe, I can't imagine the paranoia that will ensue once gold is freely tradable.

Yeah. I hope that people consider me trusted, or my MM/questing won't get very far. I'm sure Determinate can vouch for me though, I was on his account, and he had a phat in the inventory (525m value), and a lot more in the bank (but it had a pin).

 

Since when do they release an update on Monday?
Since when do they release 2 updates in a week( Happened, updated both Tuesday+ Wednesday) Forgot which 2.

And they were working on this like crazy beforehand definitely will come soon.

 

I think it'll be in February. There was nothing mentioned about OW or FT in BTS other than the poll.

 

Maybe they will release FT right away and then work out Wilde and moving all the wilde stuff later? FT would be an easy fix, a few rules added to staking and your good to go. I just want to play on my staker or have SOMETHING groundbreaking to do before school starts back. I go back to classes on Tuesday and If the update doesn't hit before then, I will be left with a choice, get some sleep for classes or play in duel arena/wilde all night and suffer, and I have a feeling I know which one I will choose. lol =P

 

The update was in the behind the scenes January , so i think it might be in January.

 

You're not making much sense. There will only be 3 major updates this month, and the next one is the Hati Wolf one. There was only a reminder about the referendum, nothing else. How can you possibly jump to the conclusion it'll be this month because of that?

I got an e-mail from them and it said voting ended on the 14th at 12 pm GMT. My hope is that it comes out in January, hoping this weekend.
