Are skillers the new pures?

Now that there is NO reason at all to make a pure, will skillers be like the new pures in RS?

I'm not sure, but I don't really see a point in making a skiller because you can't do combat and you could just skill on your main, unless your main is a skiller. A skiller is more for style. I'm going to make my skiller pure defense so it can have cool armor at a low level, so it's really just for style.
