Are MMORPG's Taking over the World?

LOL sorry.. Again someone who doesn't quite know the purpose of quoting... Where you saying this in regards to me? Because i don't play runescape, and i havent played for a year. I am using my experience of the game and other games in an argument to do with economical and social factors that could be effected world wide due to the addictive nature of the game.

Before you go and call me a no lifer, perhaps you should verify your statements.

 

I think this is blown out of proportion, I mean you can't take the game to seriously and let it affect anything else in your life.You just have to realize it's a game. Also to the people who committed suicide over the games, if they were going to commit suicide over a game they were obviously really depressed and suicidal, and if the game didn't set them over the edge then i'm sure something else would have, so you can't really blame the game.

P.S. It's called control and responsibility, and knowing it's jsut a game.

cause they have cool fourms that kinda revolve around them to a certain extent and fourms like (my favorite ) sythe appear, yayyyyy for cheating fourms and fourms alltogether!!!! :]

 

he does have a point about 75% of cpu users play mmorpg's

Just to answer the original question which was asked. MMORPG may be taking over the internet, but the world? Give that one a few years.

 

i don't think they're taking over the world. maybe some people get addicted to it, but thats some poeple and not everyone.
