Are Auctions Allowed?

Hey guys, was just wondering if someone were allowed to host an auction thread where they make a piece, be it a signature + avatar, banner, etc. and then put up for auction in their thread with a starting price of about 500k (would be rsgp for me) and then say the auction would be running for a week and the highest bidder on that piece when the week is over, would win the piece and pay the price they bid for it.
Would that be allowed? I was thinking I would opt for that instead of a shop because not alot of people know how to choose a good render, and I know I'm being pretty blunt and honest here. But it's hard to make something with a low quality render.

With a shop you take into consideration what the client wants done to the piece.

If you auction off a piece it isn't specified to what the person wants. If you make something like a Digital painting or something along the lines of that I could see people wanting to bid on it. If you make the piece you can auction it off but having a shop is much easier.

 

What about if I had both? Then people could choose if they want it customized to their liking or if they see a sig they really like they can just bid. I've seen many successful auction houses on different forums. So would I be allowed to have both?

 

Yeah I don't see why not, If you made the piece and you haven't sold the piece in the past there shouldn't be a problem with auctioning it off.
