Hi all, my name is Arthur but everyone calls me Ardy. I've been part of Sythe now for quite some time but figured it was time to put together more of a formal introduction for those of you who don't know me.

I'm currently a volunteer firefighter in NS, Canada. I spend a lot of my time away from home at our station training, or just mingling. I've been doing that for coming up on five years now. About two-three years ago I decided that firefighting is something that I wanted to do a career. I soon after went to college and got my certifications. I'm now currently looking for a career position and will likely be for some time (it's a hard industry to get into.)

I work for a golf course as part of their maintenance crew. I run machinery and handle many different jobs in maintaining a golf course.

On the side I enjoy music and playing guitar, snowboarding, fishing, and mechanics.

Let me know what questions you may have!

I've been playing on/off since I was 5-6. Even at the age of two I had a plastic guitar that I carried around. My family has a background in music, specifically guitar. :)

I remember doing a trade with you in 2008.

Nice to see you on the team.

I definitely remember you I just don't remember the trade, exactly. I might be mistaken but I think we've gone through this before. :p

It amazes me how many people posted that they had never seen you on Sythe before in your promotion thread and in spam forum after (unless maybe they were joking and it went over my head). I had seen you around so much. Maybe it's because your UI was removed and people recognized you from that - at least I did. I'm glad you were promoted, you seem like a good guy and you're one of the few recent promotions that I support.

I'm from Fredericton, but currently in Toronto for school and work opportunities. How do you like Nova Scotia? Ever wanted to live anywhere else?

East coast ftw.

I agree 0.0 if they didnt see you before, THEY are the one that arent active

Do you fish up in Canada or no? Heard its great up there!

Congrats by the way!

I do occasionally. There are a few good holes around here that I fish probably a dozen times a year. Time is hard to come by when I start working early shifts, summer is like zombie mode for me. Never seems like I have time to do things I want to. :p

I'm not terribly surprised that they haven't seen me before. I really don't stand out in posting here. :p As RSGOD would say I'm like a ninja!

I've been in Fredericton a couple times. I actually just went through a hiring process for Kennebecasis Valley in New Brunswick (Quispamsis area,) but unforunately blew my interview. Lesson learned though.

I love Nova Scotia but employment opportunities are slim, especially in my field! I'd really like to give Alberta a go in the next coming years if I don't find something closer to home.

In the heat of the moment it's really not bad. After a couple times wearing it you start focusing on other things. One of the worst things I find is that it's hot on summer days at accidents.

My fitness testing made me go up seven flights of stairs with ten pound ankle weights, 40lb vest and 85lb hose pack in under two minutes. That was difficult.
