[APPROVED] Separate section on forums to "Apply for Bondholder"

With @Tyler leaving Sythe, there's currently nobody who is taking on the duties of processing Bond Holder applications. With @Matthew being inactive and @Sythe not being involved in the day-to-day running of the site, I propose a bond holding application system.

It should work similar to 'Moderator Applications'. Users should be able to submit an application, and bond holders would be selected on a case by case basis.

The applications would be handled by Administrators to decide who gets bond holder.

This would encourage more people to apply for bondholder and, it would mean that there would be no confusion as to who "manages" the bond holder application.

 

Just because @Matthew did not answer to you that does not mean he is inactive he did respond to me within 24h. I can only assume this could possibly be reason why he didnt answer.


And making it same as applying for mod. Well to me that sounds like extra non needed work for admins. When they need bond holders they announce that so you just have to be active to find out when they need new ones. Well atleast that how i got in.

So no support from me.

 

First off I'd like to point out two things to this response.

I never actually DMed Matthew myself to apply to become a bond holder and the reasoning? Because I know he'll take months to reply.

Because of this I'm going to actually share a genuine example of the proof of inactivity.

Mootrucks is STILL listed in the bond holder list as shown here:



However the thread is no longer pinned and has not been bumped since October 21st 2019 AND his bond holder rank is not on display:

If Matthew was so active he would have updated the user center to show the current list of "active" bond holders. Since this has not been done, it proves how inactive he is.

Furthermore, I'd like to quote this thread:

If you saw this thread you would see it clearly says to message Tyler with the payment methods you're willing to accept. Tyler has now left Sythe which means this duty has not been uptaken by anyone else.

As I've proven Matthews inactivity already, feel free to provide a response as to why the bond holders in the user center are outdated if Matthew was so active.

Also

It's not "extra" work, as it would literally be almost the same system as it would be when Tyler was handling the applications except you would be posting a thread instead of DMing someone.

 

Im not here to fight i just gave my vote and gave you more then clear reasoning why i decided like that but if you want answer from my perspective i will give them to you.

Not only mootrucks also realist is still listed while his thread is not pinned anymore. I do not know why but you shoud either pm matthew or Richard. But what i can tell you is that Tyler / Hope were also demoted and they are no longer in sythe user center so someone had to update it ? which i can only assume it was matthew so he is not that inactive as you are saying.

That is true and thats exactly how i got in bondholder group by pming Tyler you are right but when i was accepted i was accepted by matthew he pmed me and after that guided me trough everything how to take donations how to list payment methods and everything. Everything was done trough sythe pm and all his responses were within 24 hours.

All i am trying to say is if you post somthing like that and call someone inactive maybe you should do some research before you do that and ask others how long it took them to get response from him.

But at the end of the day we all see this or any other situation from our own prespective which means i may or may not be right abaout this but my vote stays same.

I'm not fighting either. I merely debunked the reasoning you gave.

I already showed you the proof behind this.

Realist does have his bond holder rank displayed even though he's not actively processing donations. Mootrucks is not processing donations, his bond holder minirank is not displayed publicly nor is his funrank which implies that he's resigned from taking donations completely. Also, Tyler/Hope were not demoted, they simply chose to leave Sythe. Furthermore, it may not have been Matthew who updated the user center.

The whole reason Tyler processed bond holders is because of Matthew's inactivity. Matthew is not active on the forum nor does he often come on Discord and thus, Tyler may or may not have had some kind of direct contact with Matthew to have bond holders accepted quicker. I'm also stating here Sythe does have contact to Matthew however Sythe himself is not involved with the day-to-day running of the site i.e. handling things other Administrators can do. In this case, other Administrators are extremely capable of handling Bond Holder Applications.

Do some research? Alright then.



Around 1 month minimum gap per each of these posts and going up to 3+ months.

There is a major difference between a perspective and an actual fact. A perspective is someone's view on things which can also be used to describe one's opinion. Facts however, can be proven. I've proven the fact that Matthew is inactive (from the posts I've referenced and the Discord messages). I'd also like to point out that logging in and doing the bear minimum does not make someone "active" again.

Im not really sure if you didnt read / didnt understand or w/e but all tyler did was took my application and put it into voting everything else was done by MATTHEW. [made it a little bigget just incase you didnt saw that before]

Why in the hell woud he need to join discord and chit chat with ppls if he is in charge for donations / and stuff which are related to site. He responds when he needs to you can litterary see that from you screenshot his posts were done on approved/ not approved suggestions.

Logging in and doing the bearminimum what the actual F ?
He is head of donations and donations are being proceed everyday which means he did his job ?
And you didnt prove anything i actualy have chat logs talking with him proving that he is active when he needs to be while you got this.

I actually queried Matthew regarding a bond holder rank a few months ago, he replied nearly instantly to tell me the correct procedure. I'd say he does not involve himself with work which doesn't concern him that would be why he may seem to be inactive but in reality is not.

 

You did not read the whole of what I posted then.

And now that Tyler isn't around to actually process bond holder applications anymore, what makes you think that Matthew is going to do all the work himself? Clearly Tyler was here to expedite the Bond Holder applications in the first place.

Discord is the main place for communication. I don't really think you considered this through. When the site goes down (as it has multiple times), people go straight to the Discord to complain. The fact you said "he responds when he needs to" is not relevant here.

Also, he's an Administrator & Head of Donations. Just because he has the Head of Donations rank shouldn't mean that his role is only limited to that rank.

There you go. October 7th 2019 was when this PM was sent. Now you see? It's been well over 3 months at this stage and not a single reply. This is the Head of Donations we're talking about, someone who SHOULD in theory be answering private messages relating to donations and yet this PM was sent 3 months ago and no reply???? Interesting you say Matthew is active considering I've been waiting months for him to reply on an existing PM.
