[APPROVED/REVIEW] Multiple Accounts Profile Addon

What I'm suggesting is basically a jackoff from the EpicNPC forums (which they won't appreciate) but which I do believe will be extremely useful for the Sythe forums. Possibly this is the addon they are using which might aswell be very useful for us. @Panda was suggesting a similiar thing in the staff lounge, but I believe this will be way better.

What this addon actually does, I don't know - didn't read it very well, but what I'm suggesting here is a way to tie Sythe profiles together. For example, my profile would show up on @Wortels profile and @Wortels would show up on mine. I do however suggest to turn off any automatic detection tools, just have us moderators add profiles to another user's profile. This will be a great tool to track ban evasion and eventually help moderators a SHITLOAD in pardons.

If this doesn't get your support then I do not know what will, because there is literally no downside I can think of implementing this.

Not sure how I feel about giving staff more tools to ban more people... We had a long discord conversation today using the site archives to figure out(in a very rough estimate) just how dead the community is despite traffic being at an all time high.

Very rough estimates put the community decline down almost 25%, meaning if sythe in modern day peaks 400 members online and one year ago peaked 300 online, despite the traffic growing to 400 members on, the community had no growth.

That's a very rough example of what we were discussing in discord earlier, while the #'s are obviously rough...

Punishments are a big part of that decline in community, I am hesitant to hand anymore tools to staff to help you guys punish people even more easily.

Traffic is irrelevant if nobody joins the community, staff and punishments are a big deterrence to joining the community, actively giving staff more tools to intimidate people even more is not something I am eager to support.

So this is an account tracking system for mods to monitor accounts via ips. If only mods can add people to others profiles I don’t see why you’re asking for the community’s feedback for an additional tool for mods? I may be miss interpreting what this is. Support nonetheless

 

I'm pretty sure he's saying only moderators can add your other accounts to the list, but all other users are able to view it.

Well I haven't been around much to notice the decline due to punishments so from the outside looking in I can see how it would be useful.

However I do have to agree with @Divine I do believe it would be used a bit more than on a "come by" basis.

 

We've been going over this for ages already. It's not of relevance to the suggestion at hand either way.

 

From a staff perspective with the rise in VPN's and mobile internet it'd benefit you i'm sure, as IP linking gets more and more difficult. If it helps you, why the fuck not.

 

There are no negative's to this IMO, if someone has 2 accounts that can be linked, link them, why not? Support

I think this is definitely something that would be useful / add-on to help us.
