[APPROVED] Make checking off "Show Expired/Quashed offenses" box required

I've seen alot of people hiding accounts black marks by simply not checking off the "show Expired/Quashed offenses" box which kind of ruins the point of the original rule of needing to provide these screenshots.

I don't see why this shouldn't be implemented. Afaik, jagex updated their sites and sythe hasn't followed up. A simple screenshot without ticking the box doesn't say anything.

If I bottled 2 years ago and only got a temp ban, the buyer should know the the account had a temp ban 2 years ago from botting.

It’s not going to confuse anyone since it has the date aligned with the title.

 

what would be the point of it being a rule to provide a screenshot of the offense page then? the whole point of it is so people can see if the account has ever been interacted for what ever reason and when, thats how it use to be until jagex changed the lay out

as @King Joey said people should know of any infractions

 

if what @Andy said is accurate then a simple update of the example picture is all thats needed. would take a mod less than a minute to do

Support, clicking show expired/quashed is literally just the same as the old account history.

 

Seems like you've never traded in rs accounts before, yikes. Account history is incredibly important in proving its value. An account that has been botted/banned before is on Jagex's radar already and has less value than a pure account with no bans. See the difference?

Would you pay 1000$ for a maxed account that has been banned 5x for botting? Doubt so. But would you pay 1000$ for a maxed account that's advertised as ban-free and zero blackmarks? Probably.

I agree with you fully and would love to support this, but with recent showing it's more than likely it wouldn't be passing.

A lot of suggestions are thrown to the back of the line or completely declined, even if they are somewhat useful and the irrelevant ones are made main priorities.

I feel though, when it comes to the whole hiding black marks problem, it's a form of manipulation because the people buying the accounts feel they are safe due to "no black marks shown"

On topic id like to support this as its a good improvement to the current rule and avoids possible 'miscommunications'

 

It’s useless, as long as the account is green bar that’s all that matters. Quashed or expired offenses don’t mean anything.

 

U sure a past macroing major ban means nothing on an account? Yeah just a blackmark and it being permanently on Jagex's radar lol. But hey, its 'nothing'.

 

I've been botting past 2 months on an account that has had a botting offense. They don't mean anything. I can show you the proggies and the offense if that would change your mind, but we both know nothing will.

@Panda had a really good point, it'll avoid a lot of miscommunications between the buyer/seller.

Then again, we're trying to make transactions here on Sythe safe as possible.
