[APPROVED] Search Bar & PandaBot

Block the following thread / PandaBot from showing up in search results: Discord Log

Say I'm trading Mootrucks and I want to see what he's been up to recently just to be safe. If I search for Mootrucks, almost every single result (173 of 178) will be PandaBot's discord log as everyone on the discord has their Sythe name automatically set as a nickname. There are so many results that I can't even see results from a week ago.

Originally you could just search and find most of the relevant info, now I can't do that if they are active in the Sythe discord.
Yeah you can search for a specific user's posts, but what if I want to see what others have posted about them? That won't show up if the user I'm searching for didn't reply to the post.

Delete PandaBot in its entirety. Killing the spam forum. I am not motivated at all to look at the spam forum when the last post is: "Discord Log - PandaBot" the entire fucking time.

 

I asked richard if he used the thread in the past for seo purposes and he did, i was already scraping discord logs so it was easy to continue the thread in the process.

That being said id say put up a poll and if its deemed disturbing or anything of that sort i'll stop the bot and archive the thread

I dont quite believe OP is telling the truth. Upon searching Mootrucks myself, i came up with 4 searches about 'mootrucks' and only one turned out to be a pandabot log.

Those were with default search settings, changing it to most relevant gave me all titles including mootrucks name. Neither of the searches had any mention on pandabot.

Therefore no support

No support. I like having Panda Bot around, and that I can look up and search for discord msges that has been deleted and what not.

 

Goddangit Hex and your stupid comments. We can also just move the PandaBot somewhere else. Away from spam forum. So it doesnt clog up the last thread posted in bar.

This is likely because you have PandaBot ignored. I would prefer the cover thread of the spam forum to be the most recently posted/replied to instead of the discord log. I'm not entirely sure what the user or point is, not to mention it breaks the subforum rules by posting 'scam' instead of scan.

 

Yeah was using the search bar in a subforum, now it's same as others. There's still some benifit for the discord bot, however the disadvantages out weigh them 5:1. Changed my vote to yes or improvement on it as you mentioned.

Thanks to everyone for voicing their opinion! To sum things up, multiple users have mentioned that having the thread open is deemed disturbing to them so I went ahead and archived the thread - suggestion accepted!
