[Approved] Change Fire cape proof

Kinda similar to the other suggestion.
We require proof of a fire cape completion before you're allowed to advertise this service.
Last year a lot of proof requirements (other minigames for example) were removed and this didn't cause more scams. I don't think adding a picture of showing your completion of a fire cape adds any security.

This suggestion is for both osrs/rs3 fire capes.
I don't know how difficult Kiln is (rs3) but this could be done for that as well.

This suggestion does not affect the Infernal cape requirements.

Fire capes sure, inferno's no (I know they aren't mentioned in the thread but thought it worth pointing out)

Klin is not too difficult, a bit harder then fire cape, so sure

Will discuss as a group but I'd be fine removing fire cape requirements. Not sure how hard kiln capes are so less certain about that.

yes! almost anyone can do a fire cape these days and most sellers can provide this. it should be easy to point out possible scammers (they will most likely be banned after scamming a cape or two) and for the most part, fire capes are low value so not too big of a deal these days.

 

Fire cape is certainly doable by basically every worker I know.
Definitely can remove this requirement. Support.

 

I agree with the points above and I'm adding the following points:

- waste of staff time to handle post reports on users that don't comply with the section rules in this particular section
- waste of users' time to get proofs (20-180 minutes depending on the account build)
- barrier to entry for users who currently don't own any 07 account, but would like to start providing their own services

 

Support this, there really is no reason to have it now as it is so easy to get.

I support this. These are some very valid points. However, do keep in mind that there are no prayer fire capes as well. (These are more expensive and require more effort with tick eating being involved)

If that is the case, I am sure if the buyer asks for proof, then the seller would be more than happy PMing them the proof they want.

 

Support for reasons already mentioned. No reason to reiterate as the suggestion doesn't seem to have any downside.

This pretty much sums it up also bb word is law in my books.

 

I would keep in mind that there's also 1 prayer fire capes, which are not as easy to obtain. I support this, but i wouldn't let this count for all firecapes, only for overhead fire capes.

That's my 2 cents, good suggestion.

This is true. However, I think it is up to the buyer to decide weather or not they want to trust somebody with no proof of being able to complete this.

Also, the rules in regards to posting in the infernal section have recently changed. Instead of showing proof of being able to complete the infernal, you now you must have at least 6 months of good trading history and 100 vouches.

 

I'll support, I don't think there's much of an issue with removing fire cape proofs however I don't think it's a big deal either if it remains.

 

I agree with the removal, fire cape is fairly easy to get by a standard player, most people on RS3 going for kiln will just complete the quest and get obsidian armour which reduces the difficulty by a stupid amount, so I support for kilns aswel.

as others have said I know it’s not mentioned in the suggestions but inferno requirements should stay the same.
