Apply this rule for gift cards too.

I mean, to be honest, to verify each card would take too much time and most people would think it's too much of a hassle to verify them and probably will try to sell them elsewhere, and what if they bought it off a friend and only got the code?

 

Support. Ive looked into buying gift cards a few times but have been steered completely in the other direction due to the lack of safety when trading them. Would like to see more implemented regarding gift cards. Just as I said in the "autograph's to be Authenticated thread" "It's the same as selling a Partyhat you have to post your Sythe name in the screeny with the high valued item to authenticate that this is you and the item is real. Ive seen so many people try to use pictures off Google or private servers. With a keen eye and a bit of savvy fakes are generally easy to spot. Especially for experienced traders. So why not make proper Expectations/Guidelines for something of this nature." Yes it will take up more time but people who are here with legitimate offers generally never have a problem with authenticating the validity of the object or good they are selling. This potentially save's thousands of dollars. Would you rather have someone take 5mins to prove what they are selling is legal or face future concequences for acquiring stolen property.

 

I support this; it adds to the mods' workload but it doesn't mean it isn't worth doing. This can help protect gift card buyers on Sythe more so anyways, and I think it is important to verify things like giftcards because illegal goods can and usually will cause detriment to all involved parties.

 

I support this. However it will be a lot of work going through all the gift cards.

 

I support this or a small section of MM's to check the card balance online before each trade. All volunteers of course. Some paid some free

 

Agreed, if it needs doing then there should just be more mods, and if it can't be done then it just shouldnt be allowed I suppose.
