Apples Iphone 4s/5

So, today apple will announce their new iphones at around 5pm gmt time, what are you thoughts on it?

Depends. I've had them all so far, gonna see if it's worth it. When do they come on sale?

 

I'm not going to be buying one. I don't think the iPhones are worth the price for what you get.

That being said, I'm curious as to what the new iPhone will look like.

 

I don't plan to. I already have an iPhone 4. I can't envisage a new perk that would make me spend hundreds of dollars for the sole purpose of using that perk in conjunction with all the others my current iPhone has.

I might be getting the iPhone 5 if it's true that they're going to be a Sprint exclusive (read that on OCN, seemed legit). It kind of depends on what other phones are out at the time though, as I won't be in the market until February at the earliest. I've always used Android so for me to make the switch to a more restrictive OS is going to require a big incentive.

 

I won't be purchasing one until at least a month after they go on sale. There's always, always problems that need fixing with new technology and I'm in no doubt that there will be a mass of problems with the new Iphone as there was with almost all the previous ones.

I have Sprint and I'll finally be purchasing the 16g Apple iPhone 4s!
Preorders start October 7th. Does anyone have any advice whether I should preorder mine, or go to the store and buy it there?

 

Looks like Apple trolled and decided not to release the iPhone 5. The iphone 4s still lacks a bigger screen, which is a major disappointment since most competitors have 4" or bigger screens.

I still think Apple will probably announce the iPhone 5 when they announce the iPad 3.

 

Since my phone is broken, I've decided to buy the iphone 5, so I will be purchasing it

 

Directly following the announcement of the iPhone 4S their stocks PLUMMETED like 30 points lol. It's recovered significantly but they're still down like 10 points from before the announcement. Shows how much of a disappointment the 4S is to the public.

It's just the standard boosts from any generation to the next. There is nothing special that I noticed so I wouldn't be getting it.

 

I just watched the keynote (and QQ'd a bit at Steve Jobs' absence). It has some pretty nice advancements, but it wasn't clear whether Siri was an iOS5 feature, or exclusively an iPhone 4Gs feature. Excited about their projected 7x graphic performance factor, as well as their awesome battery life, but let's be honest. I didn't just pay 200 dollars for an iPhone 4 not even a whole year ago to pay another 200 dollars for basically the same phone. The ONLY new thing, IF it's exclusive to the 4Gs and not available just with iOS5, is the Siri-- plus the new A5 chipset. It's not worth paying full price for slight performance enhancements that I probably won't notice, and one new feature.

So, therefore, if they have a promotion that allows you to exchange an old iPhone 4 for the new 4Gs for a drastically reduced price, then yes. I will buy the new iPhone 4Gs. Otherwise, no. I'll wait for iPhone 5

 

Haha, it is the exact same phone as the i-4, they realized the fuck-up with the camera and they are fixing it.

They threw in the same details the i-4 has to make it seem like you're getting all of these new features.

 

iPhone 4s..........just another example of apple adding features to a phone and claiming it as new. Dual core and 1080p video has existed on phones for a while. And super voice talk was made by samsung on their galaxy s2 phones. Apple needs to be more innovative.
