Aofrange's HCIM Log

Hi,

I've always wanted to make one of these, not an HCIM, a progress log. I feel like it'll help keep motivated with goals as well as somewhat reminding me to work on rs a little bit each day.

For now, I don't have a lot of goals, in fact, I'm not even sure what I want to do with the account yet as far as if it'll be 1 def, 45 def, a main, a skiller, etc. The only thing I do know that I want to do out the gate is to get 99 Firemaking via Wintertodt.

So,

Goals:
-50 Firemaking to access Wintertodt
-Enough cakes (gotten via thieving) to camp Wintertodt
-Clue Hunter outfit to survive at Wintertodt
-Full Pyromancer Outfit
-Firemaking pet (hopefully)
-Dragon Axe for future woodcutting
-99 Firemaking

I guess I'll update this more as I think of other goals that I'd like to achieve on the account.

I just finished Tutorial Island last night and will begin progress on the account once I get off work today. Here are the stats I'll be starting with:

Also hit 50 Firemaking and grabbed the Clue Hunter outfit so that I'll be set to do a few runs of Wintertodt tomorrow

Got a few levels after work, nothing too fancy drop-wise so far. Getting a decent bit of gp though which is always nice when starting out on an hcim

 

75 Firemaking, first little milestone of the account I suppose

If you die as a HCIM are you continuing as a Ironman or just stopping?

 

Sorry for the lack of updates the past few days, work has been really busy with the incoming hurricane and all.

Here's what I've done since the last update:

Decided to take a small break from Wintertodt to knock out a few quests and get some of my lower skills up

Started with Sea Slug to skip the first few levels of fishing


Followed that up with Plague City for the same reason only with mining


Always wanted to try out this crafting method on Entrana where you pick up seaweed, cook it into soda ash, then do glassblowing, so I gave it a try from 1-35, then used the charter trader method until 40





Finally did the Knight's Sword quest last night for the smithing xp


That's been about it. I'm probably going to do a few levels of mining then head back to Wintertodt next


@Sky To answer your question, continuing as ironman probably, but it depends on how far in I die, if it's fairly early on, then I might just start a new one

@G2S Sometimes I can only login for a kill or two before having to go, so the 10k point crates may not work too well for me except for on the weekends, but I'll pm it to you either way

Nice work I currently only play an ironman and I have to say it is some of the most fun I've had on RS in years. Keep on grinding!

 

@Emmys I have one account that's my main on osrs and rs3, and this ironman account has been a fun little side project. I used to have a lot more alts and stuff, but I don't have time to do all of that anymore, so I'm just enjoying my main on rs3 and this ironman side project ^^

 

Got a few more skills up to numbers ending in 0 and headed back to wintertodt







Hit 80 Firemaking and finished pyromancer set + a tome of fire at 110 Wintertodt kc

 

Acc is coming along nicely!
Curious for your opinion, I’m keeping my HP low for WT on my Iron man, however; my plan is to get 60+ in the skilling stats (Fish, Cook, WC, Farming, Mining) so my loot from the crates is better.
What made you decide to go for it with low skill stats?

To be honest, the account is planned out or any way efficient. I'm just doing whatever seems like fun or worth doing when I get on. If you want to get as much as possible out of your crates, then leveling them prior to wintertodt would be the optimal thing to do. You're doing it in a way that's more optimal longterm than how I'm doing it without a doubt.
