Its becoming rare to find people who like Ska, and I just want to see if anyone in this community does. The genre can be hard to describe, but it infuses Reggae, some punk, rocksteady, jazz, blues, and more. Brass instruments are common. Some of my favourite Ska bands: Streetlight Manifesto The Johnstones Keepin' 6 Rancid Operation Ivy Some songs by The Clash Some songs by The Offspring Mighty Mighty Bosstones Less than Jake Goldfinger Catch 22 Some great Ska songs: Rudie Can't Fail (A fuckin' classic) - Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros (Originally by The Clash) We Will Fall Together - Streetlight Manifesto What happened to you? - The Offspring Gone for a long time - The Johnstones 1234, 1234 - Streetlight Manifesto Red Hot Moon - Rancid So post some of your favourite ska tunes, praise or hate the genre, and discuss.
Not really into ska a huge amount but I do like it most of the bands you stated (I think 2 of them I haven't really heard of.) I'd add reel ******** and mustard plug to the ones you have up there though if it was my line up. but other than that we basically have the same taste.
