Anyone ever try nicorette gum?

I recently got some to try and quit smoking i bought the 25 4mg pack. Its orange flavour but still taste like shit after like 2 minutes of chewing and gives me a weird sensation in my throat. I ussually chew it for a bit then stick it between my cheeks and gums. Then chew on it again for a bit and repeat. Honesty it doesnt seem to be doing much lol. I really cant tell. Anyone else ever use this and whats your experience with it?

 

My father has used it and he said that it was pretty weak but it was better than nothing. A friend of mine also tried it for lols to see what it tasted like and let's just say that was the only one that he had. Basically it's not that great from what I've heard but it is better than going cold turkey.

 

I've heard the fake cigs are better because it actually gives the feeling of smoking as opposed to just chewing

 

I would think the combination would be good as well. Gum actually gives you nicotine and the e cig gives you the feeling of smoking.

Yeah ive heard the best ones are the vapor ones, i quit smoking on a wednesday and never smoked since 1 year ive been stopped, you need something there to stop you and you need people around you who doesnt smoke.

Try take up the gym when your stopping it helped me

Smoke e-cigs. Although I haven't completely stopped they still help.

 

I used it. It was really helpful, WITH PATCHES. lol.

Put on a nicotine patch, when u get a reaaal bad craving, chew the gum til it goes away, then spit the gum back into the plastic container thing and 1 piece of the gum can last 12 hours.

 

Doubt it works, try an ecigg or just stop and say fuck it.

It's a scam. The media and tobacco companies want people to think it's hard to quit smoking so they can either not try and buy more cigarettes or buy expensive pills, gum, and patches to try and quit smoking which really don't do anything since you're still addicted to the nicotine. I quit cold turkey for 3 years smoking a pack a day. Now, I smoke about a pack every week and a half which is pretty good compared to most people. It'll probably go up once class starts.

Also, the one thing that did help me was an e-cigarette. They're cheaper, which was the reason I needed to quit smoking in the first place. I found after a while it was easy to replace a real cigarette with an e-cigarette on a regular basis.
