With the new detection system "Bot Watch" coming out this week - possibly later today - I'm planning to take bots offline while I check them out. Bots will be unavailable while they are tested, and available again once given the all-clear.
If you'd like to assist in the testing process, let me know in this thread and if selected I will contact you with more information.
You would be testing RiD 2.0, and will not be charged credits during testing.
When will you be taking the current bots offline? I'll leave them up a few more hours, so you guys can finish what you're doing.
Do you really need to take bots offline? I don't know... but RiD 2.0 is something I was working on already and I'll give Jagex the benefit of the doubt. Assuming they have come up with a perfect system, RiD 2.0 will be exactly the kind of bot you need.
Will this delay the new bot? Yes, but I'd only expect this process to take a week or two - so no huge delays.
Can you give us some clues about what is new in RiD 2.0? Yes, there will be optimization to reduce the influence ping has on your bot, resulting in faster, sharper performance. The auto-responder will be upgraded, and extended to pms! And I won't give away too much, but generally you'll see your bot taking a less minimalistic approach to tasks!
UPDATE
RiD 2.0 is not far away now. And the old system (running the beta for the new bot) we've kept online during this time, has been running fine without problem. Bot watch is not really a problem. However the new features for RiD 2.0 have been taking a bit longer than initially expected - it's going to be worth waiting for though!
2.0 will be ready soon, in a matter of days. But for every day past the 13th Oct that it takes to complete, I will give you guys a free day of botting.
