    Any tips on this?

So someone owes my dad 14 grand (he was also a good friend) Here's the story, he and my dad are both contractors and after my dad did work for him, he filed for bankruptcy and disappeared (He also owed A LOT of people money besides my dad) and now hes back with a new company. Is there any ways to get the money back? Using legal methods.

If you are looking for legal methods to recoup your fathers loss then the only advice I can give you is for him to contact a good lawyer and go through the appropriate channels in a civil court.

Well he opened a new company so does that mean he is out of his "automatic stay"? (means he is no longer bankrupt) When he filed for bankruptcy he was declared under "automatic stay" and we couldn't do anything about it.

You could always break his legs "anonymously". Other than that, if he filed bankruptcy I believe that you can't do anything.
