    Any tips for finding bugs?

I've been inspired and want to try to find a bug of my own. Does anyone have any tips how I should start? I've got some programming (java, C++) and cracking knowledge, but I get the feeling that wont be much help in this endeavor...

Edit: I'm not asking how to perform any bugs already found.

i dont think java, c++, etc. will help with finding bugs... just whenever a new update is released go to the update and try doing things mods wouldnt normally do there that could hypothetically give you an advantage, eventually you might find one that works

There is no way you will be able to perform a bug with a lag switch. Your client will fuck up sure, but no one will see anything happening and it will be useless.

I don't recommend starting to bug abuse these days. If you didn't start before early 2008, you're likely gonna end up being an annoying leacher performing known graphicals all day.

You can do worse than start by reading svews guide here and putting it in to practise. Coding is kinda irrelevant for bugging.
