any one play guild wars?

hey does any1 play guild wars? if so what factions

 

I was thinking about playing Guild Wars 2 (or 3, whichever the new one is) when it came out because of all the praise its receiving already, but I probably would want to try out the previous one first. How much does it cost because I cbf spending a lot on a game with Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning coming out soon.

 

its number 2 and yeah it looks awesome guild wars is a game that has expansions you have to buy so it can add up...but if you just wanted extremely basic gameplay you could just get the first one.(I am about to restart playing only played like 5 minutes on first on so far like 4 years ago)

What is unique about the game? And how much would I be missing out on if I didn't buy expansions?

idk i never got expansion I just started first. I think pvp system is probably unique but i never played other games like this.

The second one is gunna be really unique and fun.

I played till lvl 5 like 4-5 years ago(got 4 or 5 pets for bday presents thats howi know) and I just started back now so i still a noob

 

Don't buy the original even though I still enjoy playing it. You will then have the opinion where the new one won't be as good. The old one you have your own version of the map and have to invite people to join your party to play with them, the new one is open world.

I say save for the new one, and just be blown away.
