Jagex entering Gold sites live chats.

I have always wonderd why jagex dosn't simply enter a live chat an say "Hey i got gold for sale and the live chat agent saying basically come trade blah blah blah in world 6!

Wouldn't be it easy enough for them to do that and just chain ban any account related to that account?
I was a moderator on ikov for a long long time. We were not allowed to allowed to enter @R2Pleasent s live chat at the time nor ban his accounts because the owner had a deal with him.
But seriously? How hard would it be for them to do this?

 

They probably do. Easy way to chain ban many accounts. There is no real way of stopping it or catching them

 

Gold sites probably are 1 step ahead and probably already thought of the worse case scenarios before implementing their live chat.

 

I really don't think they don't though otherwise it just wouldn't be worth it for gold sellers. Whats stopping them from entering every day

 

Like I said they probably do, but gold sellers use different servers to buy and sell gold so it would be hard to chain ban all of their accounts at once. (Im talking big websites) Im not saying they do every single day but for sure once in a while they sneak in and ban a few and get off.

 

Its a very fucky subject.

 

Honestly not worth their time, they go after people when they have a lot of money, someone can rwt for 1b but jagex wont ban them till they have 50 or unless then continuously rwt for a certain amount of time for a lot of money, they go after trains of money not just pieces at a time, not worth their hourly wage at fagex headquarters.

 

They probably do sometimes but how often, not that much probably. Jagex is either to busy or focusing on banning bots making the money that gold sites sell.

 

I highly doubt Jagex does. They need gold sites but won't ever admit that publicly. It's their fault for creating a game play system that requires too much time to get items. RWT to them only becomes a issue if you are really moving a lot of gold. They have to do some sort of limitation, keeps the price higher too.

 

theyve targeted r2pleasents website several times over the years. It seems to come and go. They do enjoy just removing gold from accounts and not banning them. It's their way of fucking with people I guess.

I'm sure they do once and awhile. Honestly, they could take a huge chunk out by just assigning one guy to spend an hour going into live chats or sitting at the DA.

Very unlikely but a possibility. They could have the IP for the jagex HQ banned. That's were the main work force would be for doing such a strategy move. Jagex are in a shared building alone but they did decrease the sales of the gold sites a lot adding the bonds in anyway. A lot of people smash the bonds and i know more buy from the sites but they'd have taken a big chunk of revenue out of them so far. They could possibly be working on methods like yours above to stop the sales of goldfarmers and sellers unlikely though and they personally know there are web pages upon web pages for gold/black market trading/accounts. Even on Ebay they cant prevent people selling gold or accounts and all it takes the seller is to put a title saying ''selling joke'' + free runescape account and jagex cannot do anything. I believe like most other games and virtual goods, it's almost impossible if not way out of hand for them to start implanting a plan to stop it now. I'm sure jagex focus on bots,Updates and servers too much to spend there time closing and tracking down gold sellers when there hidden undercover
