Any diabetics?

I think I am diabetic had a finger prick test for blood sugar levels that came in at like 17.4 and a urine test shown glucose and ketones were present, did this affect your life massively

 

The criteria for diabetes diagnosis MUST include:

• Fasting plasma glucose level ≥ 7.0 mmol/l (126 mg/dl)
• Plasma glucose ≥ 11.1 mmol/l (200 mg/dl) two hours after a 75 gram oral glucose load as in a glucose tolerance test (OGTT)
• Symptoms of high blood sugar and casual plasma glucose ≥ 11.1 mmol/l (200 mg/dl)
• Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C) ≥ 48 mmol/mol (≥ 6.5 DCCT %).[67]

Who is your doctor and why are they giving you a diagnosis without these ????
