    Any competent Ebayers? Received counterfeit good and need a refund

    Hey all,
    I recently bought an expensive pair of headphones ($300+)

    I received what looked to be legit but turns out to be a really good fake.
    I've contacted the seller, who states that they are happy to refund if i return them the headphones first.

    Assuming I send it via tracked delivery, am i all covered to send it first before a refund?

    Get in contact with eBay. Make a dispute. Assuming this user is trusted and doesn't want to ruin its reputation, you should be good with getting a refund. But first, make a report on ebay/paypal.

    Make sure everything is handled in eBay, don't send emails/messages offsite. This cannot be included in the case and can be used against you as well.

    Other than that you should be fine, eBay sides with the buyers in almost all scenarios so don't stress.

    eBay is notorious (positive in this situation) for dealing w/ sellers. They will most likely always side with the buyer, and in some situations it doesn't end up good.

    But here, obviously it was for the greater good.
