The Four-in-Hand Knot​

Step One​

Start with the large end on your tie on right side and extend it about a 10-12 inches below the small end of your tie.

Step Two

Take the large end of your tie and place it over the small end of you tie.​

Step Three​

Take the large end of your tie and place it underneath the small end of the tie.​

Step Four​

Take the large end of your tie and place it over the small end of your tie, just like in step two.

Step Five

Take the large end of your tie and place it through the back of the loop of your tie.​

Step Six​

Take the front of the knot and hold it loose with your index finger, then pass the wide end downward through the loop that you made in step four.​

Step Seven​

Remove your finger from the knot and firmly tighten the knot.​

Step Eight​

Hold the small end of your tie and gently slide the knot up to the collar.​

The Windsor Knot​

Step One​

Start with the large end on your tie and extend it very low leaving the small end very short.​

Step Two​

Take the large end of your tie and place it over the small end of your tie.​

Step Three​

Take the large end of your tie up through the middle of the loop and to the left.​

Step Four​

Take the large end of your tie behind the small end of your tie.​

Step Five​

Take the large end of your tie and place it through the middle of the loop.​

Step Six​

Take the large end of your tie and bring it around the front.​

Step Seven​

Take the large end of your tie and bring it through the back of the loop.​

Step Eight​

Take the front of the knot and hold it loose with your index finger, now pass the large end downward through the loop in front.​

Step Nine​

Remove your finger from the knot and tighten it​

Step Ten​

Hold the small end of your tie and gently slide the knot up to the collar.​

The Shell Knot​

Step One​

Start with the inside of your tie facing outward and the large end on your tie extending about a 10-12 inches below the small end of your tie.​

Step Two​

Take the large end of your tie under the small end of your tie.​

Step Three​

Take the large end of your tie, place it over the small, and through the loop.​

Step Four​

Take the large end of your tie through the back of the loop.​

Step Five​

Take the front of the knot loose and hold it with your index finger, then pass the large end down through the loop in front.​

Step Six​

Remove your finger and tighten the knot.​

Step Seven​

Take the small end of your tie and slide the knot gently upward to the collar.​
