Another Xbox Section Suggestion

The Xbox section here has pretty much been my home at Sythe.org for awhile now, and I feel if we implemented just some minor adjustments life would be a lot easier for buyers and sellers alike.

First off, I strongly believe that splitting it up into three (or two) different subsections, those being "Xbox Account and Gamertags" "Ultimate Team sales" and lastly "MSP, Gold and other Xbox sales". Just those simple additions will make thr section a lot neater, and easier to find what you're looking for.

The second and last suggestion is just more support for sfskingz suggestion about having Xbox Sales (which would then include the subsections) and Xbox Discussion.

^^ This is correct, We need a discussion section and a sales thats about it. Account and XBL/MSP could be seperated but other than that itll be fine.

 

Well technically there already is a discussion forum for Xbox: http://sythe.org/forumdisplay.php?f=483 though it's made for all consoles and is basically unused for whatever reason (probably due to it's low position on the main forum page) which could be seperated into three subsections (Xbox, PS3, Wii).

Though I don't understand why you guys don't want the three subsections in the Xbox sales department. We DEFINITELY need something so I don't have to scroll through threads and threads of UT shit when all I wanna see is Xbox accounts, and I'm sure a lot of other users agree or have a similar issue (as in wanting to look at solely UT and Xbox sales threads get in the way).

The Xbox section is so scattered and diverse with topics, that It'd make things a lot easier if they were broken up into their own subsections.

 

i would support this also as it would make it exponentially easier to find gold subscriptions/MSP the xbox section gets flooded pretty quickly and does make for an adventure trying to find a good deal on live time and maybe a section for Rare DLC items also would like to see harsher punishments for people OTHER than mods posting on someones thread saying NEEDS PROOF or simply PICS? it is rather annoying to see 4 or 5 people posting that exact same thing just on the same thread to increase post count.

 

It is not to increase post count at all, it is enforcing the rules. The person making the thread should read stickies before making a thread, therefore understanding that they will need pictures to have their thread up.

On topic, I agree with this suggestion. I do not like seeing that FUT sales and all that stuff when I want to look at other things. The fact that minecraft and star wars get a discussion thread is ridiculous. Then, if people want to recruit people for clans and such, they post in the market section and get infracted and such for posting in the wrong section.

 

Well we have been talking bout it being spam after 2-3 ppl say you need pics. I think since I'm really the only mod who's there daily. I see sales and discussion. But I don't think we need rare dlc sub section since how can you prove having some because I'd enforce that more. If anything account and a card subsections.

 

i agree people need to read the stickies its funny that your the person posting about it but just simply posting needs pics or proof? should be spamming unless your a mod that really does not tell new people where to go maybe it should be posted like hi please refer to the sticky here http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1207494 as pictures are required or your thread may be closed by a mod now i know that new people should read the stickies anyway but maybe a little bit more helpfulness in telling them they need proof or not post anything at all it says in the sythe.org rules Spamming: (in general):

Posting short, unhelpful comments (such as "cool", "nice acc," etc). they need to add "pics", "proof" to that list as it is both short and unhelpful

 

The issue with splitting Xbox Live and Microsoft Points is some people have an Xbox shop where they sell both of these things together, so they'll have to create two shops. Also, I don't think it will be busy enough having two or three separate subsections.

 

If that's the case they should just post in one section of their choice, or simply separate the thread and just make two different threads for each. In my experience in the Xbox section hardly ever does it happen that people sell both Xbox Live cards and Xbox accounts in the same thread, usually people make two different threads for it anyway.

And the argument about the section not being busy enough, what does that even matter? The Xbox Market is the third most used market section on the forum, coming in behind 'Other Game Markets' which covers a hugely diverse range of sales meaning, and 'RuneScape Markets' which is the basic driving force behind this forums popularity.

The Xbox Market is more popular than the WoW Markets (WoW market has less posts + has been around for awhile longer) and it has 5 diverse subsections. I honestly can't see how this could negatively affect the Xbox Market in anyway.

 

Err, bump? I'd really like this suggestion to come into effect.

I would support two separate subsections for Accounts and Membership/Points. Having everything thrown into one spot is not very organized.

 

I see your point in all this, but honestly I think it's fine as it is. Adding more sections can start to make things a bit more tougher to navigate as there are so many sub sections.

Yeah and it's annoying as hell sifting through all the UT stuff. The section is seriously like 60% UT stuff. Just a simple section edit could change that.

EDIT: Yeah I realize an Admin would need to approve, so that's why I bumped it in hopes that an Admin might see it

 

Problem I see is the same as we had with mw3 double xp sales. FIFA will whither away before long and it won't be the ut stuff. However we don't require any proof for them as we didn't with the mw3 codes. But I think we need to get some rule to show ownership of whatever it is.

Back on track I just don't see the FIFA ut craze going strong something else will come out that will take its place.

I'm the biggest seller for FIFA UT coins in the XBOX section and I think these suggestions are great. I plan on selling FIFA 12 UT here until September and then FIFA 13 UT here from November on-wards.

I would love to see these suggestions implemented
