This. Ignoring people who are trying to rustle you IRL is like ignoring people online who do the same thing. They don't like it, so it was much better than acknowledging them.

Also, people can speed up dudester... I see so many cyclists who get hit by cars because they run red lights and I saw that happen in front of me so I made it a goal to speed up and cut off the cyclist pretty darn close (I have great control, relax... he wasn't in danger). Some people just have messed up ways of teaching people lessons.

Meh in my city if there is no official rule, both parties will stop and at that point the driver of the vehicle will usually wave the walker to go by. If not, it just gets awkward. Personally if its like in a mall parking lot, I will just walk behind the vehicle to let them go ahead because either way I cross in pretty much the same time.

You got quite a body there if you wouldnt get scratched if a car hit you. You should have stood there, let her hit you and wreck her car, then proceed to laugh and walk away.

I would have let her pass even if she was going at 5-10 km/h tops it can cause more than just "a scratch". One of the first car accidents ever caused ended up with the death of a person, Bridget Driscoll to be precise and the car was going at less than 6.4 km/h.

In future I would recommend checking both ways before crossing a road or street, even if there is a law that enforces cars to give way to pedestrians it is ignorant to think that cars will automatically stop for you as you don't know what kind of driver is behind the vehicle of that car. Could be a busy person on the phone, a drunk driver, a driver on drugs, a sleepy driver that may not stop for you.
