Anime/Manga Section

Now I know most people hate anime but I don't see why shouldn't maybe we add this.

Pros: Making new friends? Killing time and having fun.

Cons: Please comment below if there are any cons!


I'd love to talk with someone with the same interests as me, And to be fair there's a NMS section and most people seem to dislike it.

Please do take this seriously.

 

This is suggested every other month. I personally wouldn't mind seeing an anime forum.

 

Couldn't this follow under media -> movies or television? Just post a thread and label it your favourite Anime.

No support, unless there's like 30 active users in the community willing to participate I don't see why we need another dead section.

 

But yes, I support. I think we have a lot of people on the forum interested in current/upcoming anime/manga to keep a section alive and healthy. As pertaining to the video and media section, I think those sections are much more general, for discussing the Youtube videos, new movies, new music, etc.

 

I've never seen any threads about anime, so I'm not sure how many Sythe users would be interested in this section. I don't really see the need for it, but if enough people support it then I'll support it as well.

Help finding name of an anime.

I'm surprised you haven't seen the dragon ball super thread, it's the second most active thread in movies/television, and is always on the first page.

Anime is very popular in the west, and most users have anime avatars, so I'm pretty sure the interest is there, it's just the initiative to start discussion in a non-independent forum is not.

 

Supported the last thread(s) so I'll support this one too. If it doesn't work out it could just be merged with the Movies/TV section.

I would definitely post there if it's added. I've watched over 67680 minutes of anime according to my anime list and I could make a recommendation thread

I'm surprised I haven't seen those either. Might just be because I'm not particularly interested and probably just overlooked it. I support this though, I think we might as well give it a shot.

 

I would love to see this sub to see how active it would be, not just reviews but talking about upcoming animes, animecon, everything anime/manga. Would hurt to try it out for a month to see if it becomes active.

 

I would love an anime/manga sub-forum; however, I think the off-topic forum need to be re-organized before the introduction of any more forums into the section. The section is too divisive already IMO and (also IMO) it hurts the overall activity of the section.

I think an anime/manga section would fare better than the current media section tbh and again while I would love to see this implemented, I think a re-work should come first.

 

Anime is far from my cup of tea, but it could be a useful addition to movies and television. It would help separate it too as I'm sure people are less likely to use the already existing sections if they dislike anime and see anime related topics in there.

 

I fully support this suggestion, I know a lot of people that watch Anime/read manga here on Sythe so a sub section for it would be a great idea, a lot of people don't post it in the Tv Shows sub section as it doesn't feel right same goes for posting Anime movie or at least that's the reason I don't.

Reviving this thread since I strongly support this suggestion. There's also no harm in creating one and seeing how it turns out.

I support this suggestion 100%. It looks like there are a few anime fans on sythe too. It should be kept active.
