Anime Forum

I think it's pretty much an objective statement Silver, no Anime enthusiast would happen to look at the television section.
The problem is, i would never ever write in the television section about anime cause i would feel like i wouldn't get the eyes and discussion i wanted.
The problem is people think discussion has to occur for a forum to be made, when we are on the opposite side and say: creating the forum will create the discussion.
There are a lot of anime watchers on Sythe, and nobody dares to write anything about it in any other section, give the section a chance for a week and see how well it goes.

 

I watch anime myself, so I understand. But I don't think there is a need for another low-populated subsection right now. Yeah, having an anime subsection would allow for the growth of it, but at the same time, I think it would be later rather than sooner.

 

People said the same thing about a sports sub forum, but it's available now. Even without fitness and health threads, the forum is doing pretty good than I originally anticipated. Anime has a lot more topics to discuss than Sports. There is really no good reason not to support the addition of the forum.

Ya hamouze, id personally make a "Episode of the week discussion thread on all of the anime im following" and prolly reviews, and during make spoilertags for recaps. and we could talk about so much good stuff.

forums create discussions and not the other way around, there are many anime hobbyists among sythe and would be more active than any of the other hobby sections

media

give it a chance i get it, sythe is a blackmarket and thus dont want to associate them in things such as that, but discussions are one of the foundations to strengthening a community.

 

One active anime thread on the entire forum. No support.

 

I'm a pretty active anime watcher. Personally, if I wanted an Anime discussion I would definitely find myself refraining from posting in the TV section... Anime is pretty popular and I feel a sub-forum for it would have decent levels of activity...

Support even tho i dont watch anime and sometimes get freaked out by it. This support is only because ive experienced the greatness of fooly cooly and now dont judge anime lovers .

 

Yeah, since thats even close to the same situation.. there were 4+ active sports threads on the front page for weeks and weeks prior to getting a sports section. As a point of reference there are currently NO active anime threads and only 2-3 threads concering it on the first few pages.

This section would almost certianly be a complete flop judging by current interest. Use TV & movies, it's not as though you'll be fighting for space. If there are actually active threads with more than 2-3 people posting I am sure staff will consider implementing a subsection in the future. In the mean time the idea is somewhat laughable. No support.

 

Re-evaluate once media forum gets sorted out imo

 

I think it would be fine as a sub-section or whatever in Movies/Television.

 

What does that even mean? When/why is it getting sorted out?

 

This sub-forum would really be a good add since there are lots of anime lovers out there (including myself )

Yes, but I can't see how that determines how active it will be. I think we're all aware that Anime is a popular innovation that's still growing. I believe there was one cryptocurrency currency thread before it got it's own forum (which is dead nearly all the time).

 

Denied for now, the Media section is a good enough fit for this type of threads.
