Well I decided to post this thread because what happened to me with school and all . It started in 9th grade when I was waiting for my friend to pick me up from school one of my friends was leaving so she gave me a hug and I guess it was her boyfriend picking her up so he got out of the car asking why i was on his girlfriend I told him she hugged me so he got into my face and tried to push me for some reason (this guy is like 19 and I'm only 15) when anyone touches me or starts calling me names and shit I get really angry to the point where if I don't hit something my eyes start to tear up so I just hit him out of instinct and he just fell to the floor which eventually all the fights got me kicked out of school ...

This is only one of the fights i been in i get in fights all the time over girlfriends and just stupid shit. I try to go to the gym everyday and workout to let off some anger but somehow fights always come to me ..Any suggestions ? :embar:

i used to be like that :S, find something u enjoy doing. If you enjoy working out then work out if it gets ur stress down. you could try joining a kick boxing gym and spar a little bit. I did that before. What i do now is if i am really angry i play my guitar or listen to some music, that usually calms me

You should do some boxing. Not only does it let your anger out without hurting anyone (except the poor bag of course), it also helps you defend yourself in times of need.

it seems you let your emotions rule you, you need to use your best weapon, your brain, do you actually think fighting is good for you? Because I assure you it isnt.

Think before you act on anything, especially retaliating to that guy, you could of just talked about it and explained it instead of hitting him.

Yeah that's my problem I guess I don't think about it before I react when it comes to fighting but that's just how Ive been my whole life .... People I knew in high school used to get picked on alot and I always tried to be the guy to stop it thats another good way fights start =\

I was just like you,hit what annoys me was the rule i lived by.

Then i started to just walk away,it always helps the situation.

I didn't do boxing or anything like that,i jogged in parks from time to time,Tried to not start anything which would lead to a fight and what-not.

My mom gave me a rubber ball like a (Hand-ball)

I squeezed it when i got mad at it took my anger away.

Good-Luck though.

Try not to do anything stupid, best of luck.

You don't have to be that guy, life is not meant to be violent.

I understand you want to protect your friends from bully's but theres other ways, psychologically would work well.

I believe you may want to take up an agressive hobby, Boxing or martial arts could help improve discipline and calm you.

Find another way to let out your emotions. While I've been in few fights, they normally start the same as yours. (I'm not much of a fan of people trying to push me around either.)

As suggested above, perhaps get into boxing? Great sport, burns a lot of calories, and can let off some of your steam. I like going shooting to burn of steam, or I just play a game. (Shooting as in like trap shooting, etc. and games as in like CoD)

Either way, you should find another way to vent. While you may not think much of a simple fight at that moment, it really can come back to haunt you when you're older.

My tip to you.
Breathe.

I used to have anger problems when I was younger, I littelly wanted to kill the people annoying me, now before I act I take a deep breathe and think about what I am doing.
It seems to work for me, I also took martial arts and use a lot of my anger up there.

lol ^

Everyone gets angry.

Not uncontrollably angry and they have to punch someone or something.
If your going to post in a section where people ask for advice don't come up with stupid comments like that.

Well, If i was you, I'd just try your hardest to ignore him, just walk of with a friend - hugs are nothing.
Now that you have hit himm, I'm sure he'll not try and start on you again, hopefully.

The problem seems to be rooted mentally, judging from these posts. You can't stop people from touching you (if you want to avoid violent route), nor can you stop disciplinary action as consequences for your anger. What you can do is to seek attention from doctors or try to manage it yourself. Here are some popular tips for managing anger:
When you start feeling angry, try deep breathing, positive self-talk, or stopping your angry thoughts. Breathe deeply from your diaphragm. Slowly repeat a calm word or phrase such as "relax" or "take it easy." Repeat it to yourself while breathing deeply until the anger subsides.
Although expressing anger is better than keeping it in, anger should be expressed in an appropriate way. Frequent outbursts of anger are often counter-productive and cause problems in relationships with others. Anger outbursts are also stressful to your nervous and cardiovascular systems and can make health problems worse. Learning how to use assertiveness is the healthy way to express your feelings, needs, and preferences. Being assertive can be used in place of using anger in these situations.
Seek out the support of others. Talk through your feelings and try to work on changing your behaviors.
If you have trouble realizing when you are having angry thoughts, keep a log of when you feel angry.
Try to gain a different perspective by putting yourself in another's place.
Learn how to laugh at yourself and see humor in situations.
Practice good listening skills. Listening can help improve communication and can facilitate trusting feelings between people. This trust can help you deal with potentially hostile emotions.
Learn to assert yourself, expressing your feelings calmly and directly without becoming defensive, hostile, or emotionally charged. Consult self-help books on assertiveness or seek help from a professional therapist to learn how to use assertiveness and anger management skills.

If those don't work and you seek further help, try:

If you believe that your anger is out of control and is having a negative affect on your life and relationships, seek the help of a mental health professional. A psychologist or other licensed mental health professional can work with you to develop techniques for changing your thinking and your behavior. A mental health professional can help you to deal with your anger in an appropriate way. Choose your therapist carefully and make sure to seek treatment from a professional who is trained to teach anger management and assertiveness skills.

Take up a sport like boxing, and also when you get really angry find a private area and scream as loud as you can, whatever you do don't get in a car and drive when your old enough. But yea try joining boxing or even football or hockey, but also screaming helps.

You need to circumvent your anger which can be difficult if you suffer from anger management issues. I've always found music to be very calming ~ especially acoustic.

It seems that if you have to release your anger by fighting with people you should start attending some sort of combat club (Martial arts etc.)

Regards.
