St. Patrick's Day 2013
So my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me. I'm not surprised, I knew it was coming, and it was mutual. That's the main background info. Abandoned my other thread cuz I was drunk and didn't even really say anything. delete it if you want. whatever.

I'm fucking sick, depressed, and I hate this shit. I got NO sleep last night because of all this shit and a stupid toothache I've had for a couple days. The first thing I did was get fucked up at my neighbors house last night and I was up till like 3 AM. I'm hungover as fuck but it's weird because I never got to sleep, so I'm just sick and want to throw the fuck up. I have final exams this week, a 6 page paper to write before wednesday, and a 1 and a half page paper due tomorrow.

I live in a shitty apartment by myself because when I started school the dorms were full. I figured it wouldn't be so bad living off campus because my girlfriend could be over all the time. But she's not around anymore so I feel like I'm just gonna drive myself fucking crazy. All my friends were "our" friends and she knew most of them first, so I have nobody around me to talk about this shit with.

I'm rethinking a lot of the decisions I've made in the last year. School, moving away from home, exhausted all my savings on rent because I stopped working this semester because school was more important. fucking student loans. My place is a mess because I have no reason to clean right now. I'm goddamn broke. Now that I'm single, I'd have more time to get a job,The spending money is good but I'm not looking forward to it.

Overall shit just sucks. Call this a sob story if you want I really don't give a fuck. I just need to talk

Just try and stay positive man, and stay as busy as possible. Work, school, time with friends etc. whatever it takes to just give your mind a break from thinking about it.

As much as a failed longterm relationship sucks, in time you will learn to feel comfortable being on your own. Sometimes its good to be single for awhile just to get back in touch with yourself, who you are, and your direction in life. This experience will only make you a stronger person in the long run, and better suited for future relationship.

I don't know if your a journalling type of guy, but maybe you can try keeping a journal or a writing book of some sort where you can just get the thoughts out of your head and onto paper, vent when you need to vent, and document your journey through this break up. Some people think that kind of stuff is lame but I know it helped me loads going through mine, and its very refreshing sometimes to read back through months worth of entries and see the progression in myself over time.

Best of luck man, be strong. Like I said before - if you ever need somebody to talk to, feel free to PM me.

Whatever life throws at you, you can't change it. What happened happens and harping on the past will do nothing. Sure, you can sob about it for one to two days, but then learn to fucking step up and move on. No matter how much you beg the sky, you cannot change the past.

The most successful people are the ones that look into the future, not in the past. Find ways to cope with each situation, break each dilemma into small problems, deal with them one at a time. As you gradually peel away the problems, you will feel better; don't expect all your issues to go away in one day, it doesn't work like that. Live life to your terms, not the happiness of others.

Only you can define who you actually are. Don't worry about money that has been spent, or time that may have been wasted, just try to focus on where you want to go from here. That saying, "you can be anyone that you want to be" is true! Phone someone who loves you (A parent, a relative, a sibling, a friend), and just have a normal conversation with them. It really helps to put things in perspective. Things will look up bud- they always do.

Just think....getting drunk doesn't help...you forget for hours then...?? You remember and you won't get her out of your head.

Doing something to keep you i.e a job will keep you busy and perhaps you might not think of her.

fuck my life. Simple as fucking that.

There are tons of us here for you, if & when you need us man.

My thoughts are going out to you. Keep it together :(
