Surely, this can only be a matter of time, can it not? Who recalls when Perfecticus debuted his hunting bot? Gosh, the good old days, or when RSBuddy boomed. Either way, perhaps it shall be RID to take the cake this time through. I cannot believe that this drought has continued thus far. And no, sorry I do not consider Power Bot an effective botting platform. What I'm simply stating is that there's bound to be a completely new style of botting that shall appear before the masses...All in due time I suppose, I'd truly enjoy botting 99 Div and not worrying about a roll back.

Yeah I know, It blows. There are no good bots out and it seems like it will continue to be that way for the long haul.

RiD is under an amazing update. I love RiD bots, the only problem I had with them back in the day they weren't stable enough to leave the house for 5+ hours and you know that its still running. very temperamental

Yeah, his current project is massive. From what I've learned about the project, it will be better than anything RiD's produced thus far, and anything causing your bot to crash will be fixable by the user without any programming knowledge, so those long bot runs should definitely be something to expect.

Good to hear from you Trent ^^ RID's the only dev that's opposing RS3. I wish him the best of luck obviously, but it's saddening to see that nobody else can contend.

Tbh I'm surprised they let the drought continue for this long, they need the membership from the bots. Powerbot is like an insta ban now, I actually almost managed to get 99 div from rid before I got a 48 hr ban and reset to 1 div (since then I've gotten 99 legit) interested to see what rid is going to put on the field, but I think the times of mass botting on rs3 are long dead.

You raised such a valid point, companies such as PB are effectively being paid squat. What happened to their "Golem," update or whatever it was referred to as? Everyone's cut from funding that managed to stick afloat, and RS3 is the potential cash cow, as always.

Developers like Trilez over at Tribot have to be making a pretty penny though right??

    Off of oldschool only tho.

I would think so. It costs money for VIP to even bot OSRS, and it's one of the few sites that isn't yielding bans consistently after a couple of hours.

However, income does not necessarily determine how good or safe a bot platform is. In fact, some of the safest bots over the years have come from the smallest communities and often with the lowest level of profits.

Imo, it comes down to quality over quantity.

Just adding to what Trent said but I completely agree quality over quantity but I think the amout of users on the bot has impact on the ban rates as well( unless you were referring to what im saying right now) which seems to give a good explanation as to why the less known small communities have more efficiency in terms of botting. And imo jagex looks at the more common bots to ban such as wc and mining bots that have been .. ABUSED.

Hopefully these bot developpers step their game up so that maybe we could get a glimpse of the good ol'days.

Yeah there is a bit of truth in that. It is easier to catch something if it behaves the same as many other accounts. To help reduce this risk there's only 2 options I've seen used: smaller communities and unique styles for each user. To me, unique styles seems to be more of a long term solution.

Yea you are right about that. In your opinion , everyone getting a unique style bot , would it affect the economy since the ban rates would lower?

Ultimately it depends on whether or not bots for certain things are being abused or not. Even with unique styles there are other aspects needed to stay under the radar. If Jagex knows a certain area is heavily botted, they can do J mod sweeps to try and fish out the botters. Generally there are certain things that can be done to reduce the risk of being fished out, but if an area is being abused, chances are they're showing signs that they're bots.
