It was discovered that the majority of his plugins were actually just copy-pasted from free, open source plugins with their name changed and a price tag slapped on. When confronted, anarchise released a handful of plugins for free instead but claimed that the remaining ones were their own yet it is likely that this is false. Exhibit 1 Taking a free, open source pk tools plugin and renaming it and selling it Original creator: Ben93riggs Original source: plugins/pktools/src/main/java/net/runelite/client/plugins/pktools at master · ben93riggs/plugins The name of the plugin was renamed to "APKer" yet the inner details remained and the original creator, ben93riggs, did too. https://i.imgur.com/B3hUQjy.png Anarchise selling the plugin in his discord - note that the message was edited to refer to ben93riggs' name after the fact. This was prior to releasing it free. https://i.imgur.com/3uuieB2.png A look inside the plugin. Note the exact same naming of files and setup. https://i.imgur.com/4wYI85j.png Not offering refunds for the plugins that were premium but then released free after getting called out. Instead you get store credit to spend on stuff that's free elsewhere! https://i.imgur.com/c1SiqZG.png Exhibit 2 Anarchise's premium vorkath plugin shares similarities with open source vorkath plugins Original creators: Oiuyo, xKylee Original source: Oiuyo Vorkath: Oli-plugins/olivorkath at master · Oiuyo/Oli-plugins xKylee Vorkath: plugins-source/VorkathPlugin.java at master · xKylee/plugins-source Combination of Oiuyo's and xKylee's work in anarchise's vorkath source https://i.imgur.com/fZPVVno.png Specific comparison: https://i.imgur.com/98lXBVj.png Exhibit 3 Anarchise's premium zulrah plugin shares many similarities with an open source zulrah prayer plugin. Original creator: Dab Original source: Dab-plugins/ZulrahAutoPrayers/src/main/java/net/runelite/client/plugins/ZulrahAutoPrayers at master · Dabalon/Dab-plugins Same resource image files, which I don't think are even used in his plugin so he must have forgot to remove them. Oops! https://i.imgur.com/qNi3ml6.png Same utility classes etc. https://i.imgur.com/XHhNKmm.png Exhibit 4 Skiller plugin copied and released as premium (now released free) Original creator: Illumine Original source: illu-plugins/ipowerskiller/src/main/java/net/runelite/client/plugins/ipowerskiller at master · illumineawake/illu-plugins Same files https://i.imgur.com/vlRE8tz.png Take a look at these files, near identical Illumine: illu-plugins/iPowerSkillerPlugin.java at master · illumineawake/illu-plugins Anarchise: aplugins/ASkillerPlugin.java at master · Anarchise/aplugins https://i.imgur.com/uLYzBoJ.png Notes At the very least the users who paid for the open source plugins should be refunded. Ideally, anarchise should have to submit his premium plugin source for review to be compared with open source materials and ensure it is his work that he's selling. In my opinion it's okay to take snippets, inspiration etc from open source work and use it (credited) in your own commercial work (if the licensing allows it), but only as long as the majority of the work is yours. If you've simply "added a few features" it should remain open source and free.
