An appeal / request.

Hello. I am Wendler. I joined Sythe around June 2007 I believe. Here is my public profile.

As you can see, I'm banned. I have been for a while. If I remember correctly, I was banned for "scamming" someone out of like 3 or 4 mill. Can't say for sure, it's been a while.

I would first off like to say, that the person I supposedly "scammed" was Rsnerb at the time - Many of you may know him better as "Cartoon;" "K4rt00n3" or whatever way he put it. He's a big scammer here, also the one behind the whole fake email "[email protected]" or whatever it was. I haven't seen him on lately. I have, however, talked to him a lot after the event that had occurred, and we pretty much both agree we're cool about it. I've paid him back via many ways, including help and sending him certain files he wanted.

Anyway, that behind me, I would like to ask a question. If I were to pay him back however much I was accused of "scamming" him - Would I be allowed to come back? If the staff even wanted me to pay him back, that is. He is, after all, a scammer, and I have paid him back in one way or another.

But, lets say you did want me to pay him back. If I did, would I be unbanned? I would take a market ban if the staff saw fit, but I don't play Runescape or any online game for that matter anymore, so I wouldn't be on there anyway.

By the way, since most of the current staff wasn't staff at the time this happened, let me tell you the story:

I was MMing for Cartoon and somebody else, I forgot who. It was an account for some amount of GP. A while through the entire trade, my computer, failing, crashed on me. When I came back I saw Cartoon had posted a scammer report on me. That day had been really bad for me, I had been through a lot of shit, including losing about 50M due to another scammer. A lot more back then than it is now. I honestly did not care that he posted that, and, in my stupidity, I deleted the posts saying I was going to MM for him, thinking I could get away with it. Stupid me. I didn't bother paying him back - I thought I was done with RS and thus done with Sythe.

I see that Sythe isn't just about RS, and I would really like to have a second chance to come back to the community.

So, I ask of the (older) staff; will you please grant me this opportunity?


P.S.

I'd also like to see Tgump post in this thread. I remember clearly getting a PM from him when I finally got my computer up, asking if I had really scammed. I told him the truth, that my computer died, and he said "Oh well, least they don't have any proof you didn't give him the money." Which, was true, but it obviously didn't matter much. I believe he was the last person I talked to on here, and I'd like to see his input.

Scamming is scamming. You're welcome to pay him as much as you wish, but you DID 'supposedly' scam a Sythe member. As far as I'm concerned, you'll remain banned.

2. You must dispute your ban/infraction within one month it was given. After one month, the ban/infraction will not be reversed, and the dispute will be denied.
