American Economy

I was thinking today this may be in wrong section but why "we"(speaking to americans" do rearmament? it brought germany out of the great depression. Wouldn't it give people jobs+Build money...

 

Back then America wasn't spending trillions of dollars on useless programs. The economy isn't bad we're just in debt.

 

The economy's bad as is. I make no comment on why because the smartest people in the world fucked it up as it is... I'm not going to pretend to be any more educated.

But you have a serious misunderstanding of economics if you believe mass production (without mass demand) is going to affect the economy in a positive manner.

 

The Germans rearmed before the war because they were planning a mass invasion, and they rearmed after the war because their armies had been decimated.

America is experiencing neither of these situations, why would rearmament be necessary to 'fix' your economy?

The reason for the economic downturn being so severe in the US is because your banks lent money they didn't have to people who couldn't pay it back, not because of a lack of military power...
