Looks like a beast. Hopefully it will be priced competitively and they fix the crossfire drivers by then. Wouldn't mind getting two.

 

Looks great. They need something to compete at the top of the range but it will most likely still be more economical to buy two mid range cards and SLI / Crossfire them and you will get better performance.

 

Very interesting, I'm really hoping that this is aggressively priced.

 

I really do hope this is aggressively priced as well, I really need to upgrade from my GTX 670 for all the new games coming out... I was thinking about upgrading to a GTX 780, but now I'll wait and see what AMD has lined up.

Damn it's looking more and more promising. Have they announced official release date yet at least? It didn't say anything about a release date on that article, or maybe I just didn't see it.

 

Pretty sure pre-orders start October third or something

 

Just hoping the price is competitive enough and not some overpriced piece of shit. Just waiting for them to release some more info about it...

 

I've ALWAYS been an NVIDIA guy, primarily due to their driver support more than any other reason....But now that might change for me. Even though there's not a lot of official information out there in regards to performance as of yet...I have a feeling AMD will soon take over the market.

CUDA is not utilized heavily enough to really stick around forever, PhysX can be computed by the CPU or with hybrid drivers and a cheap-ass NVidia card alongside your main AMD gpu.

I have a feeling AMD's drivers are going to become lightyears better than ever before and updates are going to become much more frequent...based on the fact that they currently OWN the upcoming console gaming market. With AMD promising SEVERAL new AMD-exclusive visual features, their prices being competitive, and them being the ones that game developers are working exclusively to utilize... I expect a huge jump in their APU/GPU performance.

Shame, I never thought I'd see the day. But..I'm pretty open-minded so this is exciting!

 

Read somewhere that the R9-290X may be coming in at a $599 price tag. Seems pretty damn good for a card that beats the titan and the GTX 780 at a lower price.

Its been confirmed that the price will be $599, I'm definitely tempted to scoop up 1-2 of these.

Waiting to see how nvidia reacts first, I can see a retaliatory price cut on the 780's/titan tbh. This is too amazing..
