Explanation of the trade: The whole conversation in the screenshots in the 'other relevant trade screenshots' will explain it all. Basically I used Ambiguity's Services to get some combat training done via nmz. He claimed the ticket and began the job himself. I paid him 100m 07 gp for the training. He started the training and within a few hours he got the account banned for botting. You can see that the offence clearly states bot busting ban/macroing even though he tries to say in the conversation that it is for many different reasons such as gold farming? rwt, discord services? I have used many services and never had any issues. As for rwt, I can provide transaction receipts for gold orders that go back over 5 years to show that I have never been banned for rwt no matter how much gold I have bought so I don't know why Ambiguity is trying to say that this BOT BUSTING ban is for all those things that he mentioned. I have never used or bought a bot in my life so this ban was not because of me, it also clear shows the offence date as the same date that he started the training. He has damaged my account forever and all I am asking for is a refund for the money that I paid him for the hand training which he never done. I gave him the chance to refund me for the amount minus any xp that he gained before the ban but he simply refused as you can see in the screenshots in the imgur link below. He also at some point tries to claim that Jagex are cracking down on discord services and that is how they banned me? That seems very absurd and why would they call it bot busting ban? Also, if this is true (which I highly highly doubt) why does he not clearly state in his tos that all accounts are at risk of getting banned for botting even when trained by hand?!?!?!?!?

How they scammed: Botted on my account and got it banned within a few hours. Offence date is the date that he took the account and started the service. I have never botted or ever bought a bot or ever enquired about a bot in my life.

That's not true at all. That 2 day botting ban is a thing that's been happening for a while now, it doesn't prove the account was actually botted on (I have a RuneLite screenshot as well for the single level gained but not sure if that matters). You can ask any service provider about it and there is a very high chance they'll tell you they've had this issue as well. Myself included - this happened once when a worker was on an account, I then messaged BlackBasses questioning what I owed the worker and he told me this:

As you can see in the last message he says I was not obliged to compensate the customer. I had told Esco that I 'work a deal out' in case the account got banned again since he initially wanted me to keep on working on it after it got unbanned. He then changed his mind the next day and asked for a partial refund, which I could have done but the account I used to received the gold also got banned. This isn't really relevant tho (it wouldn't change the outcome of the dispute in any way).

Him agreeing to the ToS:

So TLDR I don't have the obligation to partially refund him since he clearly agreed beforehand that I wasn't reliable for this sort of thing.

So you are offering 'hand trained' services to people and forgetting to mention to them that there is a risk that their account will be banned for BOTTING even when 'hand trained'???? Seems like you are lying to your customers or you are simply just botting as the ban states. And if by some miracle you weren't botting, then you need to update your tos so that the customer knows that their account can be banned for botting even when allegedly hand trained.

Also to that quote above, it states that the "worker should receive pay for the work done". You were my worker and I stated above, you can take money for the couple hundred thousand xp that you gained but the rest that you did not work for due to getting my account banned for botting should be refunded to me.

 

Adding that clause would be redundant - if the ToS says I'm not reliable for any bans it means that they obviously can happen otherwise why would I bother stating it. Also everyone knows that ordering services, buying gold, etc. is against the rules and can get your account banned. In fact the number of accounts getting banned recently has risen considerably.

Regarding the fact that technically I was the worker, that makes sense but that screenshot references a different situation altogether since it involved a third person. I'm fairly sure that the fact I was technically the one working on the acc doesn't change the final outcome here

I'm done argueing with you, you will just keep trying to wriggle your way out of everything. I'll let the Sythe Mods decide what happens. Either way I will not be using yours or anyone else's service again and if they decide to let you keep the money that you did not earn then shame on you.

I was playing on my account today on the normal osrs client without any third party software doing slayer and they have now permanently banned me due to Ambiguity's actions. I read that after they give you the 2 day moderate ban, the perm ban follows shortly after, despite it saying you get another chance.

Ambiguity's eyes might light up here and he may try to say I am using a bot myself so that he can wriggle his way out of this. I wouldn't be stupid enough to post this if I was botting myself. As mentioned above, I have never used, bought or even enquired about a bot in my life. This all started when he went on my account and began the service and as mentioned above all over google you can find posts of people saying a perm ban follows the moderate ban.

I no longer just want a refund but I want compensation for the loss. I have spent a lot of time and money on this account and now because Ambiguity decided to be lazy and bot on my account, it was permanently marked and damaged and now the account is perm banned. Also, I think he knew the perm ban was coming as you will see in our discord conversation on the initial post in this thread he mentions many times that it is very very likely that the account will be banned again if he tries to finish the service and he also says which you can read in the screenshots above that I should now consider my account burned forever.

It is clear that he knew the perm ban was coming. I wonder how long he has been botting for.

Anyway, I just want my refund and compensation so that I can start a new account.

Hi, i've had a talk with two other staff members and unfortunately there isn't enough to go on here. While it's odd that the account was banned so fast into the order, its hard to say who was the cause of the ban.
It's possible you did it, its possible another service before this was the cause, its also possible ambiguity did it. Which is why if you truly value the account you should either do it yourself or take extra precautions to ensure you would be covered. Just as ambiguity did, he had you agree to a tos to cover his own ass, you could have done the same by asking the provider to be held responsible. I know its shitty, and i'm sorry but there isn't much we as the staff team can do here. If ambiguity wants to give you a discount or refund thats up to him, but this report will be closed for now.
