Amazon question

So I bought an amazon gift card for $350~ two weeks ago then went on vacation for two weeks: http://puu.sh/aFQ2t.png

In short, there is no evidence that I even bought this gift card on my amazon, but I'm out the amount of 07 that I paid for it. What do? This is all I have about the guy who might have scammed me: http://puu.sh/aFQhP.png (the skype I made the trade from was deleted by Skype last week...)

 

Something similar happened to me when I bought a $50 card off of someone on powerbot, the amount was credited to my balance but a few days later it was removed and I later got the message that the gift card was obtained illegitimately. My guess would be using a stolen credit card or something of that matter. However your problem never shows any history of the card ever even being redeemed, this leads me to believe that it is probably either a site or a support issue.

 

So do you think it's worth contacting Amazon about it? I don't want to admit to buying a giftcard since that's naughty, but I suppose that might be the best option... What did you end up doing?

 

This happened to me before as well. The person contacted Amazon to refund that gift card and that's why it is not on the history. I contacted Amazon about this problem before and they told me that.

Sorry about the loss. My best advice would be to only buy Amazon gift cards from trusted people.

 

same thing happened to me so i stopped buying from people or using a middle man to purchase my item and wait for the funds to be released until its shipped

 

Don't see how using an mm prevents them from doing that but ok
