[Denied]Discord mute for obvious proxy campers

I'd like to change my suggestion from a ban to a mute. I've already made the role and @qemofan845 is proudly the first candidate. Until they have posted from a home IP I'd like to keep them muted, or atleast hit them with the mute when they're constantly trolling the community.

 

Yes, I 100% agree with this notion as much as I did the previous one.

I do not think that some people understand the gravity of the situation and the amount of scams happening on Discord

Having implemented this strategy on major non sythe trading discords, we have prevented numerous scams from occurring.

Instantaneous banning of obvious proxy campers/imposters/name changers until they actually verify themselves has led to a decrease in scams occurring over time

This should be automatic (but due to discord limitations it probably cannot be implemented)

I don't think this should be automatic but I think staff should be able to mute these proxy campers when they need to/its obvious.

 

That is exactly the suggestion here, yes. It's impossible to have it done automatic.

 

With sufficient proof someone is vading we will ban them, otherwise we won't be inflicting punishments on them
