    Alot of false bans lately.

I have been on Sythe.org for now over 1 year and 8 months. There used to be a time where all you had to do was see a topic as a guest and add that persons GT or Msn and the trade would go smoothly but now since this whole "vouch" shit came in, it made me register. I have seen the ups and downs of it all. Just recently I started posting and getting into the post whore mode lol.
    Back to the topic point, I have seen alot of people being banned for no reason, it's abit stupid. I think we should do something about it? Here is my idea;

    1) We get Scam busters, trusted people to look over forum deals.
    2) Every ban that is given, has to be looked over and carefull examined then set.

These are just ome of the ideas I thin would be good.

    What you guys/girls think?

    ''Scam busters''...?

I said it to myself outloud and now I feel like I'm going to be sick. That's what Moderators are for.

I Agree with Finn, everywhere you go there is scammers, sythe is banning everyone in the slightest, YES, but it's for it's own good, protects sythe's community.

I think you made this to get post count up to be honest.

Do you have profiles of people who were falsely banned?

We do our best to ban scammers and anyone who will potentially scam (this includes fake vouches, multiple accounts, etc.). If we do happen to ban someone falsely, which it doesn't happen often, its really easy to unban them.

You know how much time it would take to go over each ban in even more depth then it is being looked at now?

Honestly, they are doing a great job. Yes, once in a while a mistake is made, when that happens it is fixed.

"Scam-Busters" is already in place with the name; Moderators.

First people complain that scammer reports aren't being done. We go through 40+ pages of reports and then you complain people are being banned unfairly. People are being banned because enough proof has been supplied for us to determine that the user is in fact a scammer.

True that, you're doing your job, but sometimes we get banned for flaming, when we don't even flame. Or we get banned because " We are being legit, we try sell a pin, and it actually works, but the other person uses it, then try's to reuse it takes a screen shot and pretends it don't work, then they report us when in fact they scammed, and we get banned. " Has happened many times.

But other then some really small mistakes, i love you sythe staff, Such hard workers and you all work for free!!!

    I wish i had construction workers like you guys..:'( :'( :'( :'(

    But ya <333:love:

Lol, scammers will be scammers... They will never stop, because most of them are 8-12 years old.. And I've never remembered a trade that I could have just did it and got over with. There's always been scammers, even in 2007... There is no way to remove it, but one way to prevent it is to get the persons home phone, school, city, and address. That way, even if they do scam your silly old runescape bs, they get petty theft on there record, that would teach them when they want a jod in 10-15 years.. Anything over $200 that they scam, and they can go to jail ^^. Well thats in california atleast.

I know you guys try your best to stop scamming, I am a moderator on another forum that is probably twice the size of Sythe, so save me the whole "moderator" speech.

Just wanted to see some suggestions from a forum that has more scammers then any other forum, EVER.

Scam busters = no power to ban/unban nor to delete treads/close threads. Simply trusted people sorta like OMM who watch around in the Markets.

Take this for example = http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=573681

He should have changed the name to; Hey click me for bullshit.

Sadly, I'd have to agree with Finn on this one (although he supposedly got demodded for scamming)

I haven't seen too many false bans lately but I've seen people that came back and shouldn't be back. (Xix)

Generally the moderators on Sythe do very well as far as fairness and quality goes.

You'll have to be more specific when you want something done around here

If he just wanted post count don't you think he would have done the smart thing and just typed out a 5 word reply to an already existing topic instead of typing out a long, new topic for ONE post count?

    Use your brain.
