An Official Sythe Runescape Private Server

Idk if this has been suggested already but this would be so awesome if there was an rsps called sythe or an official sythe rsps for the sythe community to play. Thoughts on this?

 

I stopped playing all Rsps, and solely went to Xbox, but that seems like a decent enough idea. I believe Zarpor is the most popular Rsps that the owner is a member of on here. Just get one that you can chose which revision you like

 

Not anymore, Zarpor is kinda dead now.

 

This would be interesting but I doubt it get a lot of players as RSPS's are sort of dying out.

 

This already happened before but it was before my time or at least before I was really active (not sure when it actually happened), not sure of the reason it stopped happening.

Zarpor was never anywhere near close to even the top 10 most popular RSPS, ever... lol. Not sure if the owner is a member here or not but someone posted a while back that the ex-Sythe Mod Karl was an admin there for a while.

 

There used to be an old one, but it died out. Lack of maintenance was also a problem.

 

Support, this would be cool ;D

Sythe could also get a lot more donations this way. If there were donation benefits on the server.

 

It's a nice idea, but who would be willing to put time and effort into it, host it, etc

When I used to play a RSPS which I quit RS for a year for, it was a spawn server, skills easy af to get the general RSPS things, but it was more liked for the community aspect.

What sort of RSPS are you thinking of going for, for Sythe? Community based? or Pking/Pvping etc?

 

I believe this has been suggested before. Yes, it would be cool.. but No support for these reason:

1. We have lots of accepted suggestions that needs to be implemented & building a custom RSPS would take too long.
2. It would require some investment.
3. The RSPS will die; There wouldn't be a lot of people playing it.
4. I just think there is more important things to do on Sythe before building a RSPS.

 

I don't mind the idea would support it. I doubt it would get too popular unless a lot of people were maintaining it though.

 

Particularly that the RSPS will die. Other things are of more importance; therefore, this would have to be put on the back-burner. Should there be a point where staff/admins and the like are searching for things to do, this might be a suggestion to revisit, but until then, I don't think there is time / a need for this.

 

We had one on the testing phase. Forgot what happened but the admins were spawning too many items anyways.

 

No support simply due to the fact that staff doesn't have time to make/maintain this and there are far bigger priorities

 

I talked about this with Govind on skype, he said it was a possibility but on got that far haha

 

There is literally so many good reasons to make a Sythe Rsps here are a few reasons

1. If you are banned on the server you get banned on the forums too, if a scammer likes the server he'll think twice about scamming

2. More people would donate there would be donation benefits in-game as well as on the forums which would make way more people donate = MORE MONEY

3. Sythe would become much more popular than it already is

4. Sythe members could get to know the sythe community much better through the server

And to address the staff being busy topic, it doesn't have to be the same staff on the server as the staff on the forums.

 

And with that comes a plethora of problems.

Agreed, I don't really see the need for this again..
