Allow official entities to have multiple threads in sections (at mod's discretion)?

I was going to post a suggestion for this, but I figured my suggestion wasn't ideal either. I would love to hear everyone's take on this.

Prime sample I know of for this would be Chicks. As some of you might know he has bought Divica a while ago, aswell as Acckings. Previously Chicksgold and Divica were able to advertise in all 07/RS3 related sections considering they had different owners. Once Chicks bought Divica he had to pick which website he was going to advertise where, so they decided to advertise Divica in the WTB sections and Chicksgold in the WTS sections. Otherwise it was considered he was having multiple threads in one section, no matter they were posting from a different account for a different website. Which is fair, as I report other people having multiple threads in some sections all the time.

But it still bothers me.. in the end Chicksgold, Divica and Acckings are still different websites, they are just being owned by the same owner. Now when I wrote up this suggestion I thought "how is this not allowed?" but I immediately figured out you'd have the same issue as IRL where Apple, Google etc buy all kinds of companies just so they get in some kind of power position. This way someone wealthy could just buy all kinds of websites and advertise them, resulting in less customers for newcomers.

The best solution for Chicks would be probably not to advertise RSGP for both Chicksgold and Divica, and same applies to other games and currencies. Though I understand from his prespective he would be losing customers in that case.

Question is.. Is there any different solution? Or is the current ruling the best? Looking forward to your opinions.

 

Yes lets just let everyone start spamming their mass sites to kill off everyone else so they get even richer and screw over everyone else. If a site has the money to just keep opening new sites all you do is condense sales into that one person's corner by allowing them to mass advertise which hurts everyone else that may not be able to go out and buy a company or form new websites. This also would hurt individual sellers by stealing their sales. It would just become whoever can open the most sites or buy the most companies gets the most exposure, of which individual sellers would be at an disadvantage regarding which goes against sythe free market. No mi amigo no creo : No my friend I think not regarding this.

 

I like it the way it is because if you change it to like same owner diff webiste is allowed to advertise with multiple threads then someone like chicks could just make like 20 sites / 20 accs and just spam the fuck out of gold sales section.

 

Nothing stopping people spamming the same website code 10 times with a different domain and different logo and just flood every section.

Don’t see any rational way this can be approved without there being mass abuse.
