    My suggestion is to give staff members and CDT leaders the ability to tag everyone who posted in a certain thread.

    That way they'll get a notification if there is an important update without compiling usernames and sending out a bulk PM.

    Or just give it to everyone and give people the ability to disable the feature.

    Yes yes yes. The @Mod and @admin we need those. Couple of times if I had to contact the mods online I had to tag all of them and look up for their names.

    Would this also include a sort of subscription thing i've been trying to suggest to cdt.

    So it would @Tag normal members who wish to be in the know about cdt events ;)? And this would associate to the group of members who are in a subscription group per say.



    Edit: I was on a forum once, where they had groups, and you could link something to them, and all the participants in the groups would receive a notification etc. Is this physically possible

    this is the worst reason to add these. no one wants to get spammed by people who cant search for two seconds to find the answers to their questions

    i think @here is fine for normal users and could be really useful, except traders will use it to spam people who've posted on their threads. can maybe make that an infraction-worthy offense. @staff, @sectionals, @globals, and @admins should be staff-only

    the others seem mostly useless. how many times do you need to call a cdt member's attention to something when pming them would be a hassle?

    Or possibly make it instead of being accessed by just anyone, its like a perk to donating possibly and can be taken away if abused by said donation threshold.

    A feature request does not mean this is approved. And I personally would not approve this. I think it's unnecessary and if people want updates for a thread they can subscribe to it.

    why would i want donors spamming me and more than i want normal users spamming me? i dont see any way that this helps except for staff trying to notify each other of decisions made by other staff

    if you need a staff member for something pm one who's online or hop in the discord where we all hang out

    Spamming you? If someone tags you they most likely have a problem and you as a mod are expected to help them with it. I think that donators would have some knowledge of when needing a mods assistance. With that said, I bet you wouldn't get tagged many times a day. And if it really bothers you so much, maybe you should change your job?

    or we could just not add an annoying system that doesnt add anything :p there's nothing wrong with pming a mod in 99% of cases, and people can talk to us directly on discord if they need to
