Aliens: Debate

I just wanted to start this debate and see what people thought about things.

Do you believe top world leaders and elitists know of other alien life?

Do you believe they live among us?

Do you believe we have received help from other intelligent life?

Things to think about:

The Great Pyramid in Egypt. Scientist and researchers believe that we did not built these structures because it is impossible without modern day equipment.

Inside of the Great Pyramids they found no evidence of carbon on the walls and from this surprised many people because they thought the people of that time used torches. They still are not sure what they used to see, because they found many forms of art.​

This is a great debate to partake in. I enjoy debates where noone is really wrong or right, you get so many different ideas and views on things.

First off, I personally do not think any top world leaders or elitists know of other life forms. I feel as if something that big would be leaked instantly, because you know.. We're humans and like to do that shit. However if it turned out that they did know, I definitely wouldn't be surprised.

Do I believe they live among us? Maybe you are some form of intelligent life visiting us from millions of light years away, and just trying to see how good you guys are hiding so far ;p On a more serious note though, once again, I do not believe they do. Although I think that, I still wouldn't be surprised if they turned out to be our nieghbor down the street. Being a human on Earth, I am so accustomed to secrets not being held very well. Which makes me automatically think that if they were here, we would have known by now. Except one thing, they would be from somewhere far away (or not so far away maybe) and may be able to hold such secrets from us.

As for help from intelligent life.. I feel as if they are so intelligent, they will/would just observe us. To see our methods of doing things. Here is something to think about though, The Fermi Paradox. If you're not familiar with this, it's basically the question "Where is everybody?". I'm not going in full detail (I will leave a video and another link to read up on if you wish). I DO believe there is other life forms out there. Whether it be just some form of plants, or any living organism for that matter, not necessarily any super life forms. HOWEVER! The Fermi Paradox brings up a VERY good point. If they are so advanced in technology, we would have seen them, or atleast have had an encounter with them by now. Now for the pyramids...

I never really believed aliens helped us with the building of these. Why do I say this? I feel that if we had help from another foreign civilization (with their technology we assume they have) the pyramids would have been MUCH greater and grand. Don't get me wrong, the pyramids are AMAZING, structurally and beauty. However, they are very simplistic. I recently have came across a video on a new proposed theory on how the pyramids were made and honestly, I feel like this is spot on. I suggest watching this 21 minute video, it's very interesting!

From what I understand it is more likely than not that there are aliens. But aliens here, among us? Personally I don't think so. I've been watching this show(watching it now actually) called Cosmos. They say that a great alien tactic would be to design robots that replicate themselves as they explore the universe. So the robots would land on a planet far away and gather the materials to make duplicate of itself and then move on, while it's duplicate did the same over and over. Eventually they would explore the universe, sending a map to the aliens.

There are so many fascinating mysteries like the pyramids, but it's quite leap to just say that aliens must have done it because how else? Could be, but unlikely.

I mean if you just go to YouTube and type this in you'll find some crap, and you'll find some stuff that is undeniably real. We've had military/government officials say emphatically there is life out there and we've been in touch/they visit, so if we/I were to take their word for it, and couple it with what you can find readily available on YT and other outlets, the answer in my mind would be yes, they're real.

I really don't see how people can dispute it tbh. Unless there's some global conspiracy that people are in on to toy with everyone, like some mass joke.

Like the space station feeds and whatnot? Everyone seen those? There's some shit that isn't explainable.

I can agree with this. The universe is so massive that it seems almost impossible that we are the ONLY form of "intelligent" (we wish) life out there.

You're very welcome, it's definitely some food for thought! I just came across these articles/videos 2 weeks ago. I find it ironic that this specific topic came up when it did!

Also I'd like to add to the discussion with this. When the thought of us being the ONLY civilization comes into play, it's very overwhelming and sort of terrifying in a way. We're just this puny little ball in the Universe with noone else out there. In a way it's scary because I mean.. We're alone.. That's never fun. On the other hand though.. It's kind of exciting, knowing that we're the first (possibly) to live in this galaxy, and we will have our own legacy!

I am very unsure whether or not we have made contact, but I do believe that there is other life somewhere out there in the universe.

Also, many people think of aliens as odd looking beings. Wouldn't it be intriguing to make contact with other life and have them look exactly like us and also be human? Making contact with other intelligent life could also give us more insight into religion, but I guess that's a whole other topic.

I'd say mathematically there's a good chance other habitable plants for life exist. However, making contact with them is almost impossible.

With expansion and data speed-limits or 'C' then as we can see from the image below is the Milky Way and this is how far our radio waves have traveled since 1895.

Our "first-words" have a long way to go before we can ever think about contacting some other life.

As for them contacting us, well I don't know.

Link some sources to these claims, I've never heard a LEGIT scientist ever make the claim we didn't build the pyramids, just that they don't know HOW. There's records of the pyramids being built, there's records of who built it being paid (it wasn't the slaves who built them as is commonly thought to be true) news.discovery.com/history/ancient-egypt/pyramids-tombs-giza-egypt.htm . Man irrefutably built them, HOW is up for discussion. Eqyptians had tools it took the rest of mankind hundreds if not thousands of years to come up with, namely the water level, chalk line, plumb bob as well as numerous other innovative "work smarter not harder" sorts of tools. I wouldn't put it past them to of been able to erect the pyramids and various obelisks unassisted, they were a remarkably advanced people.

As for the torches comment, many of the chambers in the pyramids are so deep that torches wouldn't burn due to lack of oxygen. There are many paintings on the walls that actually look like lightbulbs, note the cords/wiring and what appears to be filament inside the bulbs. Given the discovery of the Baghdad battery that predates the pyramids I'd say its entirely possible that they in fact used electric lighting (albeit primitive).

I'm not discounting the possibility that some of the Egyptians knowledge may of been somehow passed onto them, but rather that the things you listed are and were in fact possibly done by man.

I remember my phase with Aliens etc, I got into the Area 52 theories etc. I believe it's very confusing and secret, there is definitely something going on...

 

I'm completely sure there are other beings, to say there isn't such beings out there is simply an ignorant statement. Not directing this at anyone specific, but the idea that we're the only beings in the universe is just incredibly small minded, hence why I believe they are out there.

Although I have never specifically followed through on the theories that relate to aliens and other beings. The idea of there being more intelligent/further in science beings/the general aspect of it all does really intrigue me.

I can tell something is being hidden, some where, some how. And if you speak out, your life is on the line.

Also we must consider that a majority of Western knowledge was lost with the Library of Alexandria being sacked around 300AD or so. We lost a lot of information about ancient peoples.

The universe goes infinitely in every direction, as far as we know. There could be entire galactic communities.

This debate is theoretical. Aliens are a type of species that live in the universe on a habitable planet or other surface. How could one possibly say that they don't exist when human beings meet these requirements? Food for thought...

I remember hearing one NASA scientist explain that to say that there is a chance of otherworldly beings far outweighed the chance of us alone.

After I read about the Fermi paradox a few years ago, I thought it was completely illogical to deny at the very least a possibility of alien life. I also think, if aliens do exist, it's very likely that they choose not to interfere with human life. To have the capability of space travel, they are so further advanced than us it makes a lot of sense that they choose to observe and perhaps only interfere when they need to. There was a lot of talk of "alien contact" around the time of WW2 and the Cold War, where the aliens supposedly warned humans of the dangers of nuclear weapons. Whether you choose to believe those particular incidents or not, I think it supports a theory that aliens, should they exist, are choosing not to interfere with our kind. Their motivations, whether for their own betterment or ours, can be discussed but ultimately never be known. I'm reminded of that South Park episode where Earth is just a TV show for aliens and if we stop doing entertaining things, Earth is "cancelled."

Well, I mean like, not really. They are similar in the sense that they have no verifiable evidence that they exist, but there's also no evidence that they don't exist. That means you don't really have proof to not believe in them, but rather just to say that you have no proof to believe them, if you understand what I'm saying. Except, if the expansion is greater than "c" then we're yet to receive any of the electromagnetic spectrum from the emitted source.

Though, I do find it difficult to interpret an infinite universe. As that would mean, with the theory that there is someone just like me, built in the exact scale of earth with every possible atomic pattern an infinite amount of times.

I've heard of something called "The Disclosure Project", where ex-government/military officials claim that UFO's exist - but those could just be new types of aircraft being tested. Do you have a link to any of them claiming that actual aliens exist?

I don't believe the government knows for a fact that there are aliens out there. I do believe that helped with the pyramids and other things because there was nothing that could cut rocks that detailed back then. it just doesn't make sense. our galaxy is so huge it's stupid to not think there is some other type of life form out there.
