    Albert Einstein's logic problem

This problem was devised by Einstein in the 19th century and he had claimed that 98% of people in the world can't solve it. You need to reason every decision you make. I challenge you all to have a serious go at this, and post your attempt.
If you have any other good logic problems like this drop them in too, I'm keen for a go.

Edit: unsure if I should include solution in post. if any demand, will edit in

Unless I'm severely mentally ill, then why would I bother with the problem?

I read that also lol but I'm guessing he was meaning to say "98% of people can't solve this problem"

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

This would probably take hours to solve.. I started off solving it but I really cannot be bothered to (Attempt) to finish it.

EDIT: The answer is all over the internet, but I won't spoil it by posting it here.

How dumb do you really have to be to not be able to solve this? I got it on my first try. It's process of elimination people! Come on! you don't even need paper. It's so easy. Just look for the person that it doesn't say what he has as a pet.

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

Right when I read all of it, I knew the answer. It's pretty simple if you ask me. I am not even that smart.

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

OK so the brit lived in a red house, swede keeps a dog, that's number one. dane drinks tea, green house is on the left of white house, green house owener drinks coffee, person who smokes pall mall rears birds, that's pet number 2, owner of the yellow house smokes dunhill, man living in right in centre drinks milk, what animal gives milk? That's number 3, ect, man smokes blend lives next to the one who keeps cats, that's pet number 4. Then what does the German have to have since it doesn't tell anything about him?

That's the way I think of it, I don't know about you guys.

I don't really follow what you're saying, what do you mean it doesn't tell anything about the German? Also the person living in the center doesn't own cats.

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

It's really hard to explain. Basically what I saw was that it was stated every pet for every person except the German.

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

You made assumptions, you aren't supposed to do that, you are only supposed to go on the facts given. Also, what you say really isn't conclusive...you don't explain well enough to seem to get it. On topic: I probably could have figured this out without looking if I took longer...I spent about 20 minutes and found out about half of what I needed to figure it out, and got frustrated.

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

It took me like 45 Minutes but i ended up with this as my final setup:

I got stuck for awhile when you stopped getting pieces of info and had to just combine a bunch of sections to make a much larger clue, so that took up the majority of my time but essentially i got the final conclusion that the German has the fish.
I know some people said it was him already but i decided to give a detailed reasoning towards why he was the owner.
I will be glad to provide any explanations towards any of the placements on this chart.

EDIT: I've seen people saying this is simple process of elimination when in actuality this is an assumption probability problem in which you have to decide what would be the best of two options and then if something is wrong how to fix that one. So anyone that said they simply looked at it and knew it was the German either looked this riddle's answer up or they have a mind that can not only compute an early high probability percentage and place all of the information in the correct area while also figuring out if they messed up in any way when making those guesses and fixing themselves accordingly. Highly unlikely.

    Albert Einstein's logic problem

I got all the concrete clues done and solved, but lost heard when it came to the multiple possibilities that had to be reasoned and solved.

Maybe on a slow weekend I could have reasoned the whole thing, but my attention span was too short today.
