Okay so this happened on PlayerAuctions and I raised it with them here: PlayerAuctions Issues Resolution Thread

Explanation of the trade: Paid for an osrs account on @PlayerAuctions.
How they scammed: The Seller recovered it.
Proof that it's their Skype: N/A - conversation done via PMs on PlayerAuctions which I cannot retrieve.
Skype profile ID & conversation pictures: N/A - same username on PA and same account name on sythe.

The account was recovered so I lodged a dispute (I paid extra for insurance) and the seller won the dispute by stating that I botted the account. The seller provided evidence that he had control of the account yet I wasn’t returned the account which I had paid for.

The seller then later resold the same account on PA on 19 March 2018 and had it listed again recently until I informed PA.

He already has done this before. When he told you ''i filled out the wrong email for the account'' that was red flag.

When you have a case/dispute against the account you were selling, you are not able to sell that account on the website again. (it will give a error when typing in the right email)

So he HAD to put in a fake/wrong email in the username box when making the advertisement of the account

 

Thanks for the information. I was pretty green back then as it was my first account purchase on PA. That also explains how he has been able to sell it 3 times already. It's unfortunate that PA are either choosing to ignore the scamming or unable to realize that it is occurring due to the fake email in the info he provides to PA.

 

I had the same thing, except it was a bit different.

Bought a account on sythe, wanted to sell it so tried to put in on PA, it gave me a error, contacted them they said they couldnt take that account. (Probably because it was already sold on PA and recovered)
2 months later the account was recovered.
