Alright, basically I was wondering on if anyone here is on or has taken some sort of 'smart pills' as I've seen them being called on the internet; Provigil, Adderal, Stratera etc.

Please don't come and post some stupid shit, like retard nigga don't fuck with it, it doesn't work. If you are too post that please provide proof.

I have been trying to study for a week and it hasn't taken off yet, so i mean I just want to know if there is something that can help me concentrate a bit more.

Have you talked to the doctor about possibly having ADHD?

Stuff like Adderall and stuff is only 'legally' obtained through your doctor, and eventually a psychiatrist who has diagnosed you with ADHD. However you could get it off a friend who has ADHD and is on medication to use once or twice.

They basically just make you feel more motivated and easier to focus and work. Don't think you need artificial drugs to make your head work better, plenty of people have succeeded in school / college / Uni without the need for medication they don't need.

I understand that I don't need it too work better but whilst on holiday it is difficult to concentrate, i'm just looking for a boost i won't be using it daily.

Have you personally tried it or not? if it's ok to ask.

I would suggest not taking pills to concentrate, you'll become very dependent on them. Honestly I can say if you don't have a medical issue requiring the pills to begin with, you can do the studying on your own without the assistance of medication. Just take the right preparation and study methods and habits. Just a personal experience, I found making material perverted in some way is a great way for me to memorize things, its how my brain works. I threw some videos that could possibly help you below. Hope this can kind of help!

I would still consider seeing a doctor you may have it without knowing it and if you going on a pill may help you concentrate more.

Managed 6 hours in the library yesterday, I know how to concentrate maybe I worded my first post wrong.

I've just read that these pills can send you into a straight 12 hour of studying, im not looking for something to use daily, but i have exams coming up and also have various pieces of coursework to do, a 12 hour study session is needed.

@Elena; i probably will go to the doctor and query him/her eventually, but i reckon that getting the ADHD medecine will take a long too do.

@Cabbage; Thanks for the advice and study tips.

Let me tell you, I use adderal one big exams, such as me ACT. Ive also used it just to use it. Don't use it often at all. Most i would do is just for those major tests that you need to pass. If you abuse it you can get this weird condition where your hands will turn really blue when you get cold, and they usually dont turn back to a normal color for hours. If you dont need it then dont get a prescribition either. When you go for job interviews they will be able to see that you use it. If your going to use it, buy it off someone. PM if you have any questions with this.

Yes, I have ADHD (and some other illnesses we won't get into) and have medication for it. However in the UK we normally have Ritalin for stuff like ADHD/ADD, I'm not sure why Adderall isn't an NHS prescription in the UK to be honest. I've never tried Adderall though.

Adderall I've heard is pretty much the same but people say they prefer that over Ritalin. In the US I think they have both available there. I've never personally tried Adderall though.

I used to take a lot, like every day. However I was in full time College then + I didn't really understand the work anyway. So it was a waste really. It did (and still does) give me problems getting to sleep at night, and my appetite seems to have gone down over the years (I eat less than I used to). At the moment I only take it when I my head is 'spinning' or if I have some sort of test or assessment coming that needs full concentration for.

Right. So you can concetrate without drugs for it. My pills don't lastme 12 hours, 6 hours for me around that, plus they'll have a different effect on everyone. Its not guaranteed to work for everyone.

Yes, you won't be able to get it legally without being diagnosed with ADHD (which takes a few months at least) or unless you have a friend with ADHD who has medication and you could ask them for a pill or two.
