    Adobe Reader PDF files

    Hello!

My client has two .PDF files. I watched the file settings and they were created back in 2010. Now they don't open in the latest version of Adobe Reader. The file contains information from the text and pictures. I don't know how else to open these files. I tried again to open them with Foxit but it didn't work. does anyone have any experience in such matters? any instructions or programs that solve such problems?

Try Adobe Reader 9? You can download it someplace online if you Google it.

Try using google chrome to open a PDF. Or try uploading the PDF to google drive. You should be able to view it.

You need to restore the files from backup to be able to gain access to them again or if you don't have a backup, then hopefully you have a trace of the virus left so you can pay the $300 ransom to unencrypted the files. The ransomware that is doing the rounds is Cryptolocker and this scans local and network files and will encrypt a variety of files that it is configured to find.

Any luck? I would recommend PDF-XChange Editor to try and view the files.
