Maybe something at the top of the page that could link to an online client for the IRC. Just a suggestion..

 

i think #sythe works fine.

good people moderate the thread, and good people talk in the thread.

i dont see any problem with what we have, and i agree with pen about the shoutbox.

 

maybe it's possible for the chat to have different channels? e.g Account channel, gold sale channel.

We already have that.. well.. different channels.. for a while Fouisgras set up #gold and #accounts.. but they failed..

but the IRC supports different channels on a server.

 

You're flamed/abused if you act like an idiot on the IRC.

I will never support a shoutbox - it's too Fagex-ish.
